Visiting Juneau, Alaska via Cruise Ship for the FIRST TIME! Royal Princess Cruise Vlog

Juneau is one of our favorite cities in Alaska! We’ve been here several times and it’s always wonderful. Today we decided to rent a car via Turo so that we can visit some of our favorite Juneau sites. We head out to the Shrine of St. Therese, then out to Nugget Falls next to Mendenhall Glacier. We grab coffee at Heritage Coffee, get Pelmenis for lunch, do some shopping, check out the Whale statue on the waterfront, grab dinner at a local Italian restaurant and then head back to the ship for a night of trivia and karaoke! What a full day this was!
So thankful we get to share this entire experience with our friends, Justin and Lacey! If you’re not subscribed to them on KZread and watching this entire Alaska cruise experience on their channel, do it! You can find them on KZread here: / ourzroll

My family did the Turo thing on our cruise back in 2019. We'd never been to Alaska before, so maybe we didn't make as good use of it as you did. But other family members wanted to do some basic, boring errands so it helped with that. Plus it meant we could go to the Safeway where we could buy an Alaska Starbucks You Are Here mug.

Adam and Sherri, first off thank you for postings. Yours are the only videos that completely cover all you need to know about the ship (including query areas, how the medallion, ordering in medallion, etc), the ports, etc. I had to watch a lot of videos to get all that info that you provide in just one video. 👏 You also provide amazing info on each port that I never heard of from all the other vloggers or even in our excursions when we were on the Princess Crown a month ago. So bravo again. I really enjoy your channel. Finally, we didn't have the Karaoki Madness on the Crown Princess last month, just the regular one singer Karaoki. I agree that the one you got to watch looked liked loads of fun.

I really loved my cruise to Alaska and when in Juneau we went up to Mendenhall glacier, shopping in downtown and of course stopped for a wonderful coffee. I didn’t know about the St Theresa place which looks so beautiful. I guess we should have done more research before we went. Each town where we stopped was so unique and interesting that we enjoyed just strolling through the streets and finding the gems we discovered.

Funny story. When I was younger my family went on a few Alaska cruises. We love Alaska! Went to mendenhall many times. In 2019, much older, my sister and I took a Disney cruise to Alaska. Was prior to the world pausing. We both noted the glacier was much smaller. The lady at the gift shop said it recedes at least 200 feet a year due to global warming. Guess this story is not so funny. Global warming is an inconvenient truth
