I can't wait to hear the pros & cons at the end of the trip. I LOVE those motion sensor lights so much. We usually bring our own night lights with us; love to leave those home.

Adam & Sherri, We really enjoyed your Vlog..Very informative and well don..Your love of Alaska really shows and that's very contagious!! We've done 14 Princess Alaska Cruises LOL Yes 14! So addicted! The Royal Princess we sailed on was a 680 passenger R Class ship...ahhhhhh it was lovely.

We always sail Princess. Just received our medallions today for our cruise next week. Hope you enjoyed your first Princess cruise.

The room is cool with the big balcony. You can definitely see the differences from the Disney cruise ships. Feels more “adult”

Love that stateroom balcony--I would be tempted to spend most of my time there!

princess seems so underrated online, no one ever talks about it but it's my fave cruise line so far (for reference, I'm in my 30s). The ships are so pretty and the food is the best. it's so chill, sitting in the atrium is just so nice. dance lessons too! (Disney cruise in the fall though!)

We will be headed up to Alaska for our second time in September on the Carnival Spirit and taking my stepson with us for his first ever cruise. So, they didn't have a sail away party like DCL does, at least not that we heard about. We watched us sail away while out on our balcony at the front of the ship, so we may have missed it if they did.

Subscribed and following along for Alaska. I am super interested in a forward balcony cabin for Alaska next year and wonder how usable it will be especially on glacier day.

LOVE Princess ships! Last cruise on the Emerald, we put our decorative bed pillows over the bottom side bed lights. They were too bright! The food is always perfect! Cannot say enough about how much we love Princess!

I can confidently say that we are no longer Disney-only cruisers! We will certainly be cruising other lines.

I love cruising on princess we always leave out of San Francisco area my husband and I have been on quite a few Alaska cruises not counting all the other cruises that we went on princess I know you will have a wonderful Alaska trip it's beautiful

Hey I went on that cruise too at the same time!! I miss it so so much. I think I saw you guys filming! The weather was actually so awesome too it was a perfect cruise.

Wonderful video! I’ve been on Disney, RCL and Princess cruises (and enjoyed them all immensely) and I think what stands out to me is that I feel like an adult on the Princess and RCL cruises. Granted, my Disney cruises have been with my young children, but I still feel like it’s more of an adult feel outside of Disney.

The Princess Cruise Ship looks really awesome. The entry hall when you board the ship blow me away. And the area for younger kids up to the area for the teenagers is really cool. I love it that they made the table in the shape of surf boards. I don't know if you have noticed this, Adam. I'm sure you had have an amazing cruise. 💗💗💗💗

Thanks for this. My wife and I are taking our first cruise in June on Royal Princess from Anchorage (Whittier) to Vancouver and I've had no idea what to expect. We're going with some good friends and family so it should be fun no matter what. I don't want to go into this trip blind. I want some intel so we can take full advantage of the trip. I'll be checking out your other videos. You guys seem fun. Thanks again!

We took that same cruise route a few years ago on the Island Princess. The Royal Princess is absolutely stunning. Something that was available on our ship that we didn't know about before boarding was a tour of the galley and food prep area for the restaurants. As a foodie, it was very enlightening on how they prepare food on board and deliver it. Also the hour tour ended with meeting the Chef on board. Very enjoyable so if they offer it. Do it if you can.

We just booked cruise + tour. With the tour being first. This video let us see what the first day is like. Thank you What was the dress like in the MDR after the first day.? We plan on watching the other videos over time (our trip isn’t until 5/2024)

I always think of Tim Hortons as a “beverage” 😂 Cannot wait to watch this series!!

They do mini brands Disney ones too along with mini backpacks with mini stationery items.

LeeAnn, I've been on 5 cruises,2RCL, 2Princess & 1Disney. Luv all things Disney but not all our friends are. Actually we own RCL stock but Princess is our favorite. Going again this fall.

I've been on a Princess cruise before but not that one. They are really cool and this one you were on on looks beautiful. I really like Princess because they only hold 2,000 something people. So you feel like you have the ship all to yourself. At least the time I went idk about now.

I believe the Royal is one of the larger ships for Princess and it can hold about 3,600 passengers. However, there were around half that many for our cruise, so it was wonderful.

I'm going on a cruise with my dad, my uncle, and my aunt on Sapphire Princess. Tomorrow it starts from Vancouver BC and ends in Whittier AK. After that, it is a 4 day land excursion to Fairbanks, AK.

I’m going on the Royal princess in December this year to New Zealand for 13 nights!

Omg! I’m loving this cruise series!! Watched every minute!! Can’t wait for the next one. Hopefully you guys will do a comparison video of Princess/Disney Cruise lines when it’s all said and done 😊 xo p.s. that Banana Fosters tho 😂😂😂

Glad u guys have a good time, but I couldnt do all those people together....kinda is opposite IMO of what the Alaska experience is.

We are booked on the Royal Princess next summer (2024) after our youngest graduates high school. The ship will be departing from Whittier and ending in Vancouver. We live in South Anchorage, so we are looking forward to actually driving to the port - instead of flying out days prior - just to make sure we get to the departure port with plenty of time. I really enjoyed this series and it's always nice to hear from other Alaskans on how they like cruising Alaska. Thanks.

Welcome aboard. We are at night 6 of our 7 night cruise. No masks anywhere, except medical facility. I put "Where the Red Fern Grows", "The Giver", and "Atlas Shrugged" into the library on board the Carnival Vista.

I noticed the medication you were storing in the fridge is Ozempic. Not sure if you knew it only has to be stored in the fridge prior to first dose. Then it can be stored at room temperature.

The first is the best❤

Lets be honest, not only are we watching to enjoy the trip with you, but to also learn about a different line compared to Disney! Compare away!

We did that same cruise five years ago but went with Holland America lines. The ship is very similar of course and the route is the same. The differences are very minor. We loved it and would love to go again but the flight from Australia is too long.

Yeah, the lack of outlets was a bummer for sure, but we will be more prepared for that next time :)

I always usually watched your vlogs on my own. Since moving, that has proven ineffective since I just never have time to watch them. So I thought, you know what? I’m going to watch with Ezra! He knows Adam and Sherri now. And he’d really like these new videos because we’ve been on the Royal Princess! First two seconds. Adam says “hi friends”. Ezra says “hi Adam!!” I bust up laughing. And then when Adam asked Sherri what she was doing at one point, Ezra just says “uh, she’s fixing her hair Adam.” 😂 Guess watching with Ezra is a good choice!! Man, just your first day and it’s reminding me how much we loved that ship and would gladly go back!! Although, yeah. Lack of outlets was a bit frustrating! And so interesting!! When we cruise, the comedians are usually our favorite (aside from trivia 🤓). But the Royal Princess comedian is the only one we’ve ever left early from. Maybe they need a better entertainment recruiter. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was a really great experience, we're so glad we tried something else! Disney was better in a lot of ways, Princess was better in some, but the price difference between the two is HUGE!

Loved the cruise series!! I’m curious - how was the motion at the very front of the ship? Any concerns about seasickness being worse up front?

We actually didn't notice any motion difference from when we've cruised mid-ship. We expected the worst because that's what we had heard. Maybe we lucked out, but for us it was great!

I’ve been on keto for 6 months and when I travel I eat whatever I want but boy do I feel horrible. Do you have any tips from going from keto to “regular” food?

I know this may be an odd question, but here goes. Do you know if both dining rooms having windows? We enjoy sitting at our table and looking out the window. Thanks

Are there good places to view the scenery of Alaska on the boat if you don't get a balcony room?

Did you guys find that forward facing balcony to have substantially more motion than say a midship room?

There was an outlet in the bathroom, but definitely not a lot of them. We made it work by charging some things during the day and some at night.
