In today's episode of our WatchTrippin adventure, we headed with our team for La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Canton de Neuchâtel. This city is one of the most important center for Swiss watchmaking manufacturing with not only a serious number of brands found there, but also a multitude of suppliers of the industry.
But for the first part of this visit we focused on Girard-Perregaux, one of the oldest brand still in activity and had the chance of exploring in much detail their production. Over the years, this brand has come up with some pretty spectacular timepieces, gyrotourbillons being one of their trademark feature, but also the very innovative Constant Force escapement.
Enjoy!

It’s always inspiring when a person who represents a certain brand speaks so fondly and poetically about their watches. Like that gentleman from Bovet.

@@WATCHESTVcomGreat to hear that. It's a shame G.P. has been underappreciated lately. They definitively build some beautiful pieces and innovate as well.

Constant force escapement great in theory but not practical for use. Design needs reworking.
