Northern MS is a heck of a place

The area at 11:08 used to be a free campground back when i was a kid. Camped there many nights with my family. Great memories there.

I just got back fishing at the damn release. Haven’t been there in 10 years. There’s so many Gar there. The community or filmed there are pretty nice

Great job showing the Arkabutla Dam and recreation area. Loved watching Abbie jumping away from the waves.

Arkabutla is the smallest of the reservoir lakes that control the Vicksburg flood plain. 4 more, Sardis, Enid, Grenada, and Ross Barnett.

Butts. And big ole PT Cruisers. And a crashed drone. This is awesome

Of course, we also loved when she got spooked by something in the water, that was so adorable :)

Been there multiple times yes indeed it is a really big lake and it's connected to the river but I don't know for sure

It is. Arkabutla is the result of flooding the cold-water river

It's always pronounced with the "butt" sound if possible! 😁😁😁

One of the worse place you can pick to go camping. The spill way is nasty full of trash. The campsite is not well maintain.

What are "vault toilets"?

Basically a restroom that stores the waste in a vault underground. Pretty much your standard park restroom.
