Visiting Arcosanti, Arizona on a BMW 1250 GSA

Headed out to the 'Urban Laboratory', a.k.a. Arcosanti, population 50-80. Arcosanti, which was created by Italian architect Paolo Soleri, was intended to be a revolutionary new model of urban living. The concept was to create a vertically dense, mixed use, work/live city. It was intended to house 5,000.
Today, the population stands at about 50-80. Their skilled artisans create Cosanti Originals Windbells. These windbells are renowned and treasured across Arizona and the country.
Arcosanti is located in Paradise Valley, Arizona. It is about 70 miles north of Phoenix. I drove there on my BMW 1250 GS-Adventure. Although the town is only 5% complete, it is well worth the visit.
