@@ampavoo Did they accomplish anything of significance and lasting value? I've always wondered about the hippy movement of the baby boomers.🤔 I knew a few folks who volunteered in Arcosanti, back about twenty years ago. They told me that it had an exploitative, cult-like atmosphere, which is why they left after a few months.

I did my workshop back in 1996. Stayed for a couple extra months. Returned for an additional six months in 1998. Not a day goes by I don't think of the place. Like any other adventure, it's not quite as advertised, but an incredible experience, nonetheless.

I did Seminar Week in the summer of 1995. Didn't do the workshop, because I was slated to do a monthlong roadtrip with my best friend, that we'd been planning for years. Loved my time there. I even stayed overnight April 2012 - it was interesting to see what changed, and what was still the same.

It sounds like your workshop experience had a lasting impact on you! Adventures often come with surprises, but those unique experiences are what make them truly unforgettable. It's amazing how certain places can stay in our thoughts even years later. If you ever decide to share more about your experiences, I'd love to hear more. Cheers to the memories that continue to inspire! 🌟🌍

@@theRTWguysYou guys ever play stickball in the vaults? Setup a haybale on one of the benches for a strike zone. The mid-panels are a double, the upper panels are a triple, and homers through the windows... I never see any shots of "Camp" in present day Arco vids. Is it there still there? The collection of cubes for workshoppers to live at the bottom of the hill? Man, if those cubes could talk... Hard work, and good times. I helped build the west side of the East Crescent. I did the cabinets and wood floors in the upper apartment I believe next to the one ya'll went into. Sunsets... never disappoint. Tamayaki used to do a monthly "Music on the Mesa", with a huge PA system setup to play whatever album he chose. I remember one month he played Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, and as the sun set in west to the typical yet no less impressive color array, the full moon rose in the east, as big as I've ever seen. Just a beautiful moment embedded in my memory. I could keep going on. I should return for a visit after all these years.

...I Remember my first Arco lesson. Sunsets are best from the Vaults, not from the desert mesas... Now days people carry phones with flashlights.. .but not in my day. First week there, we hiked out to watch the sunset, not thinking about how it's going to be dark after the sunset and we have to hike back... Many bruises and cactus needles later, lesson learned.
