I know it’s probably a bit weird to watch a Halloween video in February, but thank you for watching anyway 😅🎃❤️

Oh Andrea! Watching that warp being wound was magical. I love the colors. When my daughter was small she would love to watch me warp the loom and exclaim over the threads. I felt delight watching you and it brought back those memories.

Yeowza! That is a big and very beautiful warp. No wonder you were tired. I look forward to seeing it on the loom. Oh dear, that will be a lot of work also. This is a delightful video and it is tons of fun to see you, your work and Scotland!

In 2003 my daughter and I went on a trip together into England and then up to Scotland to Edinburgh. We had a friend going to college there so we had a fun "tour guide". We went specifically to participate in the Samhain festival. We even made custom costumes at home and packed one suitcase specifically for the costumes. (I'm a costume designer). I could go on and on about just the Air Bnb and the bus ride to get to downtown (Royal mile), that was funny enough. But the event was totally different than what you attended. It was a parade down the Royal Mile from the Castle down to a place that you could cut across to the "modern" side of town. Anyway, Old man winter and his witches came down the street, it was awesome with the costumes and vibe. Then Old man winter challenges the "GreenMan" and they battle it out. The Green Man then "died" (goes into hibernation), and Old Man winter reigns. This was one of the best Samhain's I have ever experienced. Since my birthday is Beltane, Samhain is my half birthday so I love to celebrate it. Yes I'm pagan. Thanks for sharing this. Would love to chat with you more about that event with you.

Loved the video, but thought I’d really messed up when you started talking Halloween. Clearly you’ve been busy. Was glad to know I hadn’t pulled up an old video you made for October 2023. I have a sweet friend who raises alpacas in Colorado. She lost ten of her llamas and alpacas to a pit bull and German shepherd. She nursed so many of the herd, but sadly lost a couple more anyway. I have quite a bit of their yarn and I feel so blessed. She puts their names and faces on the hanks of yarn. They are such gentle creatures.

There is nothing as satisfying as finishing winding a warp and then just looking at it. All those threads aligning neatly, the colors becoming real, just wonderful. I love the color, the color changes and the gradual way you made those changes in your warp. . BTW, I've never seen someone make a cross in a warp the way you did. I think I'll have to give it a try. And a big YES to the pig playing bagpipes!
