Machu pichu, mayan and other civilization, looks like people back then know to carve and lift big stone. a technology that is lost today. Just imagine what kind of tools they used and how many people they need to build such monument that even last thousands of years.

Albania, Julius Cesar's birthplace. Hello Steve! You should go back to Romanian/Sarmisegetuza and see the same way to fashion the wall on Dacia's capital city built probably 2000 years before Albania's wall. Albanians' are our brothers who emigrated south. Herodotus said that Trachians populated before the Greek invasion the whole area known today as Balkan, East, and Central Europe, with extension in Asia Minor and further on until Mesopotamia. The largest and the most civilized empire of the time. People as you saw already are welcoming and love life. You were shocked about the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta/Romania because you are not familiar with the previous religion to Christianity, Zamolxianism. Enjoy! Thank you for sharing Albania with us.

The ancient city of Butrint was founded by Greek settlers during the 7th century BC. It was initially established as a Greek colony known as Buthrotum. Over time, it became an important Roman city and later experienced influence from various civilizations, including Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman. Greek historian and geographer Strabo (64/63 BC - c. AD 24) mentions Butrint in his work “Geographica,” where he describes it as a Greek colony. Additionally, later Roman authors such as Pliny the Elder (AD 23-79) and Ptolemy (c. AD 90-168) also reference Butrint as a significant city in the region founded by Greeks.

Butrint (Greek: Βουθρωτόν and Βουθρωτός, romanized: Bouthrōtón, Latin: Buthrōtum, Albanian: Butrint) was an ancient Greek polis and later Roman city and the seat of an early Christian bishopric in Epirus. Originally a settlement of the Greek tribe of the Chaonians, it later became part of the state of Epirus and later a Roman colonia and a bishopric.

It was not! Butrint was a known settlement before the Greek concept was around. Actually the aristocracy of Troy did settle in Butrint after the fall of Troy (which erroneously is considered a war between Greeks.Again the greek concept did it’s appearance 1000 years after the Trojan war). In antiquity both the city of Butrint and the Trojan war were considered Pelasgian. It’s historically incorrect to call them Greek. The big walls shown for example are known as Illyrian walls (big stones, cut and put together without any sort of glue/cement)
