After living and working here in Laos for nearly 10 years, I can't imagine myself going back to the States. I feel like there is so much more freedom and is far more relaxing here in Laos.

Great interview, perhaps one of your most informative. Chris is a great guy, had the odd beer with him myself, and he is a real professional when it comes to his work. I have been here in Lao of and on over for the last 12 years and I recommend anyone coming here to to have their paperwork done by Chris.

If I can't return to my home in Thailand when I want due to Covid restrictions I think I'll use the services offered by Chris and simply sit it out in Laos! Who knows, perhaps Covid never will simply evaporate.....I also appreciate the love of life shown by Chris and, most of all, the sheer respect he shows for both Laos and Laotians. The world - and SE Asia, and especially Indochina - needs more people like this.

That's some good info you're sharing! I'm in Thailand right now, travelling about. It doesn't seem that there are any options open for me. To go backpacking in Laos right now, unfortunately. But, Still good to see people can go! I've just subscribed. Interesting enough! If you want the current situation in Thailand I'm right on the other side of the Meng Kong River.

Thanks for your info. Just an idea for Chris and Laos I think if they could have a control entry with a qurantine hotel inclusive tests and vaccines many from Thailand would use such a program and could be a restart for tourism . Just an idea I had

the new marriage benefits introduced in 2018 makes it interesting. being able to stay for 1 year and work. I was born in Lao but I have to go through the same process as any other foreigners.
