Apparently Dimash was somewhat ill with sore throat. Placido at 82. Despite drawbacks....I found the performance less perfect operaticslly, but much more warm and enjoyable than had it been. Truly a beautiful duet imo. Thank you for your artistic and knowledable incite. I always seek your reactions to Dimash. How awesome you have tickets to Budapest concert. So jealous. Im 72 and live in the states. Bad back and no money. I pray he makes it to US before I pass. And even then, I will hate to leave knowing he's still here and I will never hear him again. Dimash has been my floatation device, my refuge. A gift from God. Thank you again.

A propósito de este recital, sabías que antes Dimash tuvo un encuentro con Plácido y que al día siguiente cantarían juntos en francés?, Plácido está en su ambiente pero Dimash SOLO TUVO UN DIA con molestias en la garganta (TOS) , esto es virtuosismo PURO Y DURO, inigualable y magnífico.

Ki volt az a merész aki szólt? 😁Viccet félretéve, én láttam a megosztásaidból, hogy -hálistennek-rengeteg tanítványod és munkád van, aminek szívből örülök. Minden szavaddal csak egyetérteni tudok. pontosan ezt éreztem én is, az egymás iránti tisztelet, a zene iránti elkötlezettség, és Dimash szerintem még visszafogott is volt😊 Persze ne felejtsük, hogy Domingó most töltötte be a 83. életévét,,sokan ebben a korban már színpadra se állnak,, és esetleg nem is vállalták volna (presztizs vesztés miatt) ezt a duettet, ezért minden tiszteletem az övé. Nagyon várjuk mindannyian a májusi koncertet, és ha nem lesznek techniaki problémák, (volt egy -két koncerten,, amit Dimash profi módon áthidalt) akkor csodálatos élmény lesz. So, she says that “English doesn’t fit him” 🤔…think it fits him amazingly…not only in this song but in all English songs. I personally love his accent. I love my accent. Kudos for all out there with an accent…that’s what makes us unique and I don’t think is something to criticize.

Dimash has been trained in music basically since early childhood. Here is some information about his education. - Akhmet Zhubanov Music College in Aktobe - Music Institute of K. Zubhanov University in Aktobe (Mayor in Vocal Bel Canto) - Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana (Contemporary Music, Master's Degree (Composition) - current ongoing Phd in Musicology He met with maestro when he was invited to be a judge on the jury at a competition for new young talents in Budapest, Hungary.

Many bel canto teachers have verified that Dimash brings a cross interpretation between rigid classical singing (which must follow norms and exactly as the author of the piece wrote, from the notes and durations, the portamentos, the expressiveness... Everything) and much more popular flexibility. For purists, let's remember that Dimash had the dream of singing with Plácido Domingos since he was a child and it was the Maestro himself, Don Domingos, who suggested the duet (he knew that even with classical training, Dimash would sing as a cross between classical and pop )! Dimash only had one day to remember the work and make the recording, as this moment is part of the competition (like a talent show) for children with musical talent: The “Virtuosos”! Dimash, as well as Placido Domingos, were part of the Jury, accompanied by Erika Miklósa (opera singer), Adrás Keller (violinist, conductor and musical director of the Budapest Concert), Hauser (cellist), Plácido Domingos Jr. composer), Pablo Sanz Villegas (classical guitarist), Gabriela Rachid (cultural director) and Harvey Goldsmith (music promoter)! The show was in Budapest (Hungary) from January 16th to 26th this year, 2024!

Eddig még senki nem javasolt további videót elemzésre (csak a feliratozásért sírnak : ), de majd biztosan említik ennek a "Virtuózok" - döntőnek a második részében elhangzott közös éneklést. Abban már többen énekelnek a zsűriből (is, meg máshonnan is). Nagyon kíváncsi vagyok a véleményedre, mert nekem ott kicsit feltűnt egy két dolog... amit nem nagyon merek leírni, nehogy... 😌 Eléggé megindító amúgy. 😢 M.J. Heal the World c. dalát éneklik, de az egésznek az apropóját (és az emelkedettségét) egy hétéves, tündéri kislány adja, aki Ukrajnából menekült el a szüleivel a háború elől, és egy telefonnal felvett short videóból lett ismertté a világhálón, amiben a légiriadó alatt az óvóhelyen a Let it Snow - t énekelte. Dimash ebben a We are the World - szerű dalban is énekel, de itt már persze nem a klasszikus opera hangján, viszont annyira gyönyörűen tisztán, hogy bár még annyira sem akart senkit "leénekelni a színpadról" mint Domingót ebben a duettben, mégis kiemelkedik a mezőnyből. (mondjuk a M. Erikától rendezői jobbra álló ezüstös ruhájú szoprán hölgy hangja, az olyan igazi kristálypoharat hasító, nagyon komoly, aztán... majd te megmondod, hogy Erika hogyan... 😳) na, szóval azt is érdemes megnézni. A YT már izzik tőle, annyian reagálnak rá. (tudod, most a háborúkat nyomják a nagyhatalmak erősen, és ez nem mindenkinek tetszik, úgyhogy ezt a dalt így, a háborús menekült kislánnyal most nagyon respektálják az emberek a világ minden részéről) Köszi, és további jókat, Blessings és társai! Ja, és persze hogy szintén megvan a jegy Május 4 re 🤩
