The fact that you are going to use DIN rail mounted devices, fuses, no plugs, and wire way in your cabinet make the electronics nerd in me ecstatic. Nice to see a build that wont end up shiny on the outside but a fire hazard/rats nest on the inside. Good work!

Christ thats complicated, glad I am into small custom PC musician and gaming builds, my next project is gonna be a desktop pinball cab with 27 inch 75hz gaming monitorplayfield, 19 inch 4:3 backglass/dmd monitor with no serious frills. Already built the system with Mame functionallity too but not in a cab yet, just need pinball X frontend and to design/make a cab. Will make a video about it too

Larry Davis, what motherboard and graphics card do you need to run all different types of virtual pinball software programs, zen studios FX3, pinball X, virtual pinball, etc. What causes lag issues? What virtual pinball software programs are you running?

I know, you have been asked multiple times.... parts list? Can’t find contractors for less than 15 each

I think this is EPIC, but why not either go the whole way and make a real table? or go VR, save the screens and only make a half table. That way you have the real feel of 3D and can put your nose all the way down to the table/ball and see it from all angles like a real table.

Any idea where you can buy these contractors? I’ve been on the hunt and everything seems to go for $40 all the way to $270 online. Seem to be struggling to find contractors in 2021

I was looking to build - this is intimidating me though. Have you had much progress with the project?

Goose Goose it looks intimidating, but keep in mind you don’t have to go this in depth with the electronics. A lot of this equipment is to make my wiring clean and easy to trouble shoot. And yes, I am having success. I will be posting more videos soon. Thanks for watching.

Matt Behrends I built the computer with AMD Ryzen 5 1600 six-core processor, 16 gigs of ram, 512 gig SS drive, and a Radeon RX 570 8 gig graphics card. It is a little overkill, but it runs FX3 like a dream. Also keep in mind you want to be able to update software in the future without limits on your hardware. Good luck with your build!

@@graffix You get half way decent Pc Parts But get a 570? wtf? The GPU is the most important part You wasted your money on 16 gigs for (PINBALL) AAA games don't even need 16 gigs yet and you buy the shittiest GPU! lol You talk about upgrading But That GPU will be the first thing to need a upgrade lol. I swear people don't know shit about PC Building

effyou128 your name is exactly what I am thinking.. 😂😂😂 And for the record, it runs it perfectly - I guess what you are saying doesn’t ring any truth, it is just showing us your inner self confidence issues. The graphics card installed is a five screen ,16 gig, and it was the most expensive component of the entire computer build. It is more than adequate to run pinball.

@@graffix Yea most expensive part because electrical components are cheep AF! Every component there sells for no more than $5 on Banggood! That GPU is $150 That's a Cheep GPU! A decent GPU is going to run you $500 at the least! Don't be mad because I gave a Opinion! Its KZread get use to it! Its my right to tell you your a Moron! Don't like it? Then don't do Stupid shit and post it! This is your first build I've done and built 10, Sold em all and have a waiting list of 25 right now! Obviously I have a tad bit more experiences than you in this matter! Just because you watched a couple videos doesn't make you know anything about what your doing! Seeing how I have my M.B.A in Engineering Civil and Electrical. I'd say My experiences and Knowledge on the matter far Exceeds your Armature Attempts!

effyou128 😂😂😂 you honestly are cracking me up here man. If you are so successful with building pinball, why are you watching videos about it on KZread? And if you have an MBA, surely you can easily understand how much resources are required to run pinball emulators on a PC. I have the software running on 8 year old PC without troubles. It’s not like a guy is going to pull up a bar stool and play VR on a pinball cab.. The thing is, people upload videos to help others in a community. Of course everybody who views the said videos won’t like them, and that’s perfectly OK. So why not just move on to another video? Do you have troubles in your life that make you feel inferior to others...? Best of luck to you with your pinball selling business.

Wow that looks like overkill from all the machines i have looked at. And in place of contactors you xan use solenoids to. They are majnly used just for the sounds.

julius stacy that’s the beauty of this hobby, you can be as vanilla or as loaded as you want your machine to be. And you are correct, solenoids work fine and some people prefer them. I like the contractors because they are cheap to find used, and much cleaner to install.

@@graffix i use contactors on irrigation all the time when i do my box ill probabaly use 2 for my flippers and seloinoids for the bumpers for diffrent sounds. i was mainly saying that for the guy who asked about them below due to cost

julius stacy good call - and I totally agree. It’s good to get a few extra types! I actually have two solenoids I am using for the extra ball knocker. I was on the fence about what types to use, there is a lot of controversy about it out there in fact.. but that’s what is fun. Fine tuning the hobby

When it comes to conteovery that comes down to personal prefference as far as im concerned. Because it comes down to how you decide which sound ya like or in most arguments which sounds the most real. And me i personally dont go for that argument because the only way to get legit real sound is a real machine.

Not sure why you need that much power to play pinball.
