I'm glad you mentioned they sound good with regular, non-pro/non-mixing material. I've been thinking about picking these up as a nearfield B monitor. My mains are fanastic for mixing and music production, but I don't really like them for casual listening. Sounds like these iLoud's could be a great monitor for general listening, and another perspective on the mix/production. Thanks for the video!

I have the smaller MTM by IK... I play my guitar through them with a UI and amp pedals. Have you played any guitar though them with like a Dream/ACS1/SGT-DI ect? I really like the sounds I get, I played a 15" sub with 4x10 Ampeg cabs and a Br2 Ampeg head for my 7 string guitar. Running the SGT through the speakers I feel I get a very similar sound with easier controls but, mine are the smaller mtm's and I feel like I want 15% more out of them as they break up that loud. I'm wondering if the IK 6 or IK PMtM can handle a louder playing with low end. Could be a cool video!

low mids are lacking on the genelecs... or overemphasized on the IK's?

If you get a sub with a 120hz crossover you could probably get that last bit fixed up more?

Yeah you are totally right. Im fine with no sub it is nice just seeing how things sound without one.

Not that this could be a 100% accurate representation of each set of monitors unless you were in the same room listening to them with your own ears, but those Genelecs sound way better. Much fuller in the mids and doesn't sound like it's been way overcorrected in the high frequencies.
