Miami recievers have their corners beat everytime instead of the under throw wish malik could put some air under the ball i saw atleast 4 missed touchdowns or big gains in the passing game. I know this his firts year stsrting but miami has a great recieving corp need to exploit more oportunities

After watching this I️ can not believe how much holding was not being called on The cavs they were holding on almost every play & pass interference could have been called several times just a terrible refereed game

Again with playing so much soft zone blitzing. I like Manny because he has the potential to be a top DC but I hate when he reverts back to things we aren't good at (Soft zone). I get that you mix in some zone but we were playing WAY to much zone this game and the flats were wide open all game. I wish Manny would look to see what VT does against some of these ACC teams because they have no problem shutting these teams down but for us it a struggle at times. Watch how VT completely shutdown UVa's offense next week. It mind blogging that we have better athletes then VT but struggle against teams VT easily shutdown defensively. I hope Manny can study what Bud Foster likes to do since he has been in this conference/division for so long. I do like that Manny likes to show different looks on defense but if it doesn't work in the first drive we need to revert back to what we have been doing best. Another thing... STOP using McCloud to cover the slot. McCloud isn't a good player then your asking him to do a DB's job.. this is why I've been saying we need to play more 4-2-5. Bandy/Carter is just a better player then McCloud right now. How does our coaches not see this when they review the film? We can't keep playing McCloud just because of the hype he came in with. Also we need to recruit fast and shifty LBs in the future. This defensive system isn't built for slow stiff thumpers. Also why does it seem like we always play the worse defensive 1st QTR against teams like UVa? Same happen vs GT and UNC. That tells me Manny is over thinking the game plan. Manny needs to approach the games like he approach the 2nd halves of games by that coming out and doing things we're good until they force us to change. Not completely change going into the game to something we haven't been doing good all year. Most of these ACC teams have the same exact offense VT runs so it doesn't make sense how we shut VT down but not UVa.

I agree Miami usually plays better in man press coverage. But coming into the game, UM coaches were probably concerned and impressed with the accuracy and decision-making of Benkert, who played nearly flawless for most of the game. Without a lot of pressure up front, man coverage would've been just as difficult, especially the way the QB was threading the needle from the start. I do agree that the flat seemed to be open way too much, so hopefully they'll adjust and clean that up going forward. Fortunately in the second half, the DL was able to collapse and pressure the pocket a lot better, which obviously helps the entire defense. Overall, great win. UM showed a lot of heart and composure, and definitely finished strong to remain undefeated!

Chosen One i use to deny it. but you're right. we are a much better defense in man, our outside linebackers dont really have zone integrity, its tough for them to catch up. i hope they look at the film like we do

you sleep if Syracuse did why can't we?..plus they never met up to a defense like ours..if the refs play right and call some calls for us we'd would have dogged the shit out of them we get held every play d line is lethal.
