Kumble. There's no surprise if Virat is being biased. Look at his favorites in the team. They get chances regardless of their performance. e.g., KL Rahul It is almost identical to Dhoni picking CSK players for ODI team.

I wish i had a friend like Kohli. Gets me a job with crores, i drink and take business class flights.

@@souri1997 KL was always backed inspite of poor performances overseas...and he is a Head Coach...His role is to manage players not to groom them ....Playing at the international level means u need readymade players....and Speaking of KL...he still scored runs in Eng (100 in T20) ...So it was all his fault that he wasnt consistent enough!

Virat may may score huge runs in his career but he will never be a legend of "Kumble" stature. Innocence, simplicity, discipline is what defines Kumble. I strongly feel that if Kumble had been around for the 2019 World cup, he wouldn't have allowed the mess which was all around our middle order. Maybe we would have had a better chance at the World cup then. Though Kohli's own style of captaincy and nurturing is strictly responsible for the terrific fast bowling line up which we have now. It has got to be his biggest contribution to Indian cricket as a captain.

Agree with Kumble being the coach for 2019 World Cup. But all the bowlers you speak of - Bumrah, Shami, Pandya, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvi were all given their debuts and groomed by MS Dhoni.

We lost test series in SA and England in 2017 after Kimble's resignation.We won in Australia mostly bcoz absence of Warner,Smith and also the team was not the one which we knew.Currently we are dominating bcoz most other teams are not doing well at all.The competition is not head to head. India really tested in SA and England and they failed. Kumble could have been a factor to change the results with his experience.

Sports personalities needs to have strict discipline. Kumble is an Engineering graduate from one of the top most collage of Karnataka, Kohli is not even 12th. Kumble could study Engineering and played international cricket too, its because of hard work, planning, discipline, food control etc. Virat Kohli's focus is distracted, he does not have leadership qualities, no discipline, he can't take independent correct decision. Cricketers are more commercially focused these days. Kumble has controlled emotion, no fights and does not play mind games 😊

Kholi's ego was hurt when a strict coach Kumble headed it and the command was distributed. Also this controversy is totally supported by AD agencies and Media who invested on Kholi not Kumble. A very well plan to exit kumble.

On the other hand Shastri was a constant presence in the team supported by kohli. Why hasn't he won any ICC trophy yet ? Kohli has been captain for almost 5 years. As a player, virat is a cut above the rest, even the best given time but as a person, not so sure. I understand aggression is needed but he gets pumped up and angry at every little reason, now other players are getting influenced and it looks like a bunch of hyenas barking round.

Coaches don't play cricket, neither maintains players' performance in a match. It's not like football. They take the back seats. Captain has to come up -Ganguly. Credits goes to those players filled with the strongest will... everyone who played in that match and gave their best with minimum efficiency. WHY THE HELL YOU ARE IGNORING THE FACT THAT THEY JUST MADE A WORLD RECORD OF MINIMUM RUN IN A TEST INNINGS 😂😂?? And please don't say that it was a different time😂. SHASTRI IS A FANBOY OF KOHLI AND ALWAYS SITS UP AND DOWN ACCORDING TO WHAT KOHLI SAYS. BESIDES, HE IS ALWAYS DRUNKED WHETHER IT'S DAY OR NIGHT. Even Ravi Shastri finished off with an excellent record. Infact our team became stronger under him. Even now, Rahul Dravid is not fit for coach. He should have been hauled up for World Cup Final loss. He even changed the pitch for Semis.

Results spoke in the World Cup 2019 and 2021

One of the greatest match winner India has ever produced, Kumble deserved more respect and of course by far a superior coach

5:50 - and Kumble was proved right. India won that test match and won the series 2-1 vs Australia and Kuldeep performed brilliantly. If Kohil would have had his way, we would have probably lost that series too.

Anil kumble is descipline and dedication and shastri was having none of them and virat wanted was in a relationship with Anushka Sharma at that time and there gulu gulu was going and always had a new at page 3 but Kumble actually wanted less time to be given to these things when you are the captain u should be 100% dedicated and desciplined but kohli didn't like that thing Ravi Shastri was full of timepass and hence he did everything to make him the coach and Remove legend like kumble in a humiliating manner

In cricket if the coach tries to behave like the owner of the team then it will never work out. It should always be the captain who should be the boss while coaching is a support job.

He further said that we want someone who can say "Ok guys, enough practice take a day off". That was his actual statement. On which likes of Gavaskar, Vengasarkar & even Kapil Dev criticized kohli.

What would be most favourable age for Cricketers to get maximum number of chances in Indian Team Kumble wanted to bring older players for next 1-2 years, but seems Virat didn't want influence of senior players in his Indian team since 2015-2016 It is best if players get maximum chances in T20s at age of 20-22 , ODIs at 22-24 and Tests at 24-26 years

See, definitely I like Kuble because of his hard work and has no dicava, well disciplined person . Kohli is lot to learn from him. Even though Kohli is playing good cricket , he can be removed from team, he should know , is playing for nation, and also he is to respect Kuble as he is the senior player.

Sometimes great players don't get together well..... coordination is required from both the sides which seems it never happened.....Ravi Shastri lol.....is definitely a chill out yes man 🤣🤣....but TBH in WC India looked really strong to win but due to bad luck rain and poor decisions led to loss....let's see what happens....if the atmosphere itself is poor then how will the team perform well so is the competition and insecurity in team looks high..... Now dada is here..🥳. Hope he nurtures talents Well my two cents on these.. I have lot respect for Anil Kumble... But the problem is generation gap.. kl rahul, hardik pandya and many more players.. want to be themselves..even virat...I guess that didn't go well with kumble.

Looking at this video, Virat seems to be the real "Player" here. Pushed out Kumble and pulled in Shastri,his buddy so that he can rule it. Almost like Manmohan singh and Sonia Gandhi in Congress tenure.

All 11 players in the team didn't like Kumble that's why he was replaced but Virat was the captain and an easy target that is why everyone made a big issue out of it. Virat is a gentleman who even after the rift invited Kumble to his reception and never spoke bad about him

You can't be serious when you say virat kohli is a gentleman while making it seem like Anil kumble isn't. Kumble has been a huge contributor to indian cricket and is a clear servant of the game, who has in many games single handedly won matches for our country. While Virat is a great batsman and a fairly decent captain he is far from being the best captain that India has had. Kapil Dev, Dhoni and Kumble as Test captain always have an upper hand in that front. Rohit Sharma would make a great captain of the Indian team, but hasn't been given that role because Virat brings in the big bucks in terms of TRP. Same goes with Ajinkya Rahane who hasn't lost matches as a captain. Even if you look at the india vs England serious, the crucial overs at the end Virat always stepped out with the excuse of injury while Rohit captained us to victory, except in the final when it was time to lift the trophy. Coming to Kumble. He has a great track record as Coach especially in Test cricket. We don't know for sure why such an end to his coaching stint had to happen, but if Virat was responsible for it then the person who must have been fired is Virat and not Kumble, cuz it doesn't matter if the boys in the team don't get to party and drink as much, what matters is the respect for the game, the coach and the results, and Kumble gave that.

The very fact that Rohit has been able to lead MI from the front and win 5 IPLs while Virat hasn't been able to do that with RCB or the Indian team in major tournaments for that matter proves that there are people that can offer better as captains of the Indian team but aren't being given the chance due the backlash the BCCI might face from fans and the money they'll lose if TRP falls

kumble and jaddu had a tiff after the cwc runout incident and dragged virat into argument..virat didnt like the way the incident was managed by kumble as it created a more volatile and unhealthy atmosphere that virat felt made it harder for captain(him) to fix/mend with his team mates... it is true much of damage was done before then..but it was final straw that ensured broke the camel’s back

Kohli thinks himself as bigger than game He didn't like kumble as a coach because Kumble was strict and very serious about teams performance With Kumble's coaching India would have easily ended the ICC trophy drought in 2019 WC
