I really feel bad for Virat in particular and Indian cricket, in general. Sportsperson reach their pinnacle when they are allowed to speak what they think, to act what they feel like. He always brought the best from his team and took responsibility when the team lost, not pin-pointing blame on someone else. Politics is meant to bring the worst in any domain, sports is no exception. No captain deserves to be treated like this. But when Dhoni was ill-treated for not supporting the incumbent party and they removed him as captain, it was safe to assume that no one is safe in Indian cricket. Ego or not, it was his identity. He brought aggressiveness to the game which we lacked when Aussies sledged us, abused us and we couldn't do anything.

I still can’t understand why no one is asking, who the hell is Jay Shah? What is his credibility? Politics into sports also now? I remember how we used to taunt Vadra for nepotism. Where’s that now?

KZreadrs are making best use of the current situation rather than giving constructive and logical solutions.Virat egostic person like a dictator It will not help in the long run The reality is Virat has made lot of money without winning any ICC TOURNAMENTS and making funny gestures on the field Question mark is there on his attitude on the field. Take NZ Captain Williamson and Pat Cummins of Aus they are very calm and well behaved but aggressive in their game. But VK is crossing lines often and escaping ICC punishment Forget and move forward with positive thinking. If does not work Ban cricket and give importance to other sports. Organisation like BCCI will dissappear automatically

These guys want to put their hands in all cookie jars....and vitiate the entire atmosphere. Why is he not interested in volleyball association or basketball association of our country. The answer is simple ...money, power and politics. All sports bodies in our country should be run by professionals and not politicians who have nothing to do with sports management.

Virat is still in the team. People are reacting as if he's dropped. In India, captaincy is everything, but players should realise that getting a chance in the playing 11 is itself an achievement. Virat has already contributed a lot as a captain. Now, the team needs his contribution as the dependable run scorer. Winning matches are definitely important, but winning trophies are equally important. After so many failures in the ICC tournaments, it's completely ok to try with a new captain.

Mark my words, it wall started taking bad turn since the Indo-Pak match in the T20 WC. Kohli came out in support with strong words taking Shami's side. Since then, the situation has gone from bad to worse for VK. He was not a captain to be sacked, and no other player in the current crop can match his standards to peacefully Captain him ; same goes for coach as well. I think this whole mess started because Virat showed his support to Shami after India's loss to Pakistan and denounced religious discrimination, which went completely against the tone of the ruling party in India. Cricketers in India are very popular icons and have the power to speak on any socio political issues of the country. That's why Jay Shah was brought in BCCI to prevent the cricketers from speaking on serious issues, like England Football team often raises voice on Racism and support their NHS.

This is the bitter truth no one wants to talk about. The entry of Jay Shah in BCCI was a planned move to have control like other institutions in India. Kohli is a modern-day cricketer who speaks his mind and doesn't care about religion-based politics. H e has openly supported talented youngsters irrespective of their religion, something the BJP can't digest and hence they want him out.

Totally disagree with you. Kholi, as a captain, never win a trophy in any format, in any tournament, although having the best squad. He lost to NZ in test championship and odi world cup; lost to Pakistan in final, in t20 he never qualified from group stage. In IPL, Bangaluru is always a joke! But, Kholi is a great captain!?!?

Just like everything else in India, there's extreme regionalism and politics in Indian sports as well.

We were expecting a smooth transition of captaincy between rohit and kohli as we had with dhoni and kohli, but sadly things got messed up and now only negative news are coming out which we haven’t seen at least in BCCI since last couple of decades , hope things get sort out early and we see a good cricket from our team as we have seen in past.

I really feel bad for Rahul David here . He is the last person any cricket fan wishes has to go through all this mess. Coming to captaincy fiasco , with all respect to what Kohli has achieved as a batsmen everyone knows that Rohit is a better captain than him. He dictated terms when in power, forced kumble to resign and and got shastri ( who was more of a secretary and spokesperson)than coach .

2007 to 2013 was golden era for Indian Cricket Team 2014,2015,2016,2017,2019 icc events made us realise that we can't win every trophy Under Kohli , India dominated in away tours be it test cricket, Odi cricket,t20i India is now going through a transition I have a strong belief that Rohit can bring us atleast one trophy .

First thing first, kick out all the bloody politicians from cricket or any other games.

This happens when politics enter in any undesirable field💔👍

Virat is a genius who ensured that if the team wins, it would be due to him or maximum Rohit. Last 50over worldcup semi India played with 3 wicket keepers. Last T20 India played with wicket keeper as no.4 and ordinary players all around. He just followed Dhoni, who always ensured game goes to last over and he wins it for India. Nothing will change, make Rohit or KL as captain and we will still play with upto 3 proper batsmen only. Look at batting lineup of Australia of 2003 worldcup final. Look at how many batsmen they played. It was proper 6 + 1 wicket keeper..

I want to see virat kohli as captain again.

A genius like virath Kohli and a genius like Jay Shah can't go together.

I am a big cricket fan and also greatly admire your work. Don't take this as a hate comment but I feel that this video was a bit exaggerated and it felt you added a bit of spice for content just like the mainstream media. As a fan of your work I don't expect this from channel Deshbhakt. Yes Indian cricket is in a bit of turmoil but as media you should understand that this is a very delicate phase for Indian cricket.
