Honestly great advertising for flex seal j was never one who bought into the gimmick of flex seal products but you better believe im buying a roll to keep in my truck for the off chance i need to fix a windowed block or a boat with a hole the size of a screen door

There’s an 06’ 24valve srt-10/ram 1500 conversion on marketplace in Venice Florida. That way you can have your cake and eat it too.

The engine in the viper truck may be looking for a new home soon….

I kicked a piece of timing cover to block gasket and have a dyno event Saturday. I was going to rtv paste the outside but maybe flex seal tape is the answer!!

This was awesome

I wish you guys would figure out shipping parts to pre smog trucks in CA. It sucks not getting parts. I want a little more power and nearly no smoke.

I've seen them get over 700 with a cam and turbo but still compared to diesel numbers its nothing

You should do a turbo build on the v10 and see who runs better at the drag strip! A twin turbo 2000hp v10 or the cummins

My buddies brother has one. Yes, they're badass but you think you'd get more out if it than you do with a viper engine

What is the bolt and strap holding near the hole ? Is that a front suspension limiter ?

There's a limiter strap on the front axle as well as a bolt and strap on the bell housing that holds the racing engine diaper.

Flex seal to fix a oil leak is probably one of the most American things i’ve seen

I would like to see a s488 on that srt10 engine . THAT would be fun

I was going to say this is a tribute to Billy Mays, but I think he promotes “mighty tape” and not “flex tape”

It surprised us how well the flexseal attached to the block, it would probably hold for a little while on a 53 block.... but then again, we never got this engine hot enough to see how well it handles 180* block temp....

If you want to make the srt truck really fast talk to Calvo motorsports and see if they can put one of their twin turbo 9 liter stroker motors in it.

“No replacement for displacement” doesn’t really ring true here…with a mechanically deactivated cylinder you’ve got only half the working displacement of a V10!

There definitely is a replacement for displacement, forced induction! But I understand your point. Gotta remember that they are at 5600 ft too, so that viper is majorly neutered.

Do you have enough tape to turn the truck into a boat now?

I’ve got a 04 ram srt-10 it’s the biggest piece of shit I own every time I would fix one thing something else would happen and i finally just parked the POS and it hasn’t moved since 2017 it’s been parked under the car port needs a new clutch, throwout, bearing transmission engine rebuild just basically needs to be gone through from bumper to bumper at this point and I don’t want to do that because it’s just a $$ waist would rather fix the grid heater issue and put a better head on my 2015 Ram 6.7L Cummins 4th gen

You must be a car salesman. Car salesmen: “that’s a Highly modified truck!” Rest of the world: “that’s a truck with a broken block, blown head gasket and thrown rod”

So, the heavily modified 1,000hp+ Cummins, albeit hurt, makes more power than a bone stock N/A Viper engine from the early 2000s? Color me shocked. Is that supposed to be impressive or a win for diesels? Put the same amount of money into the Viper truck that you have into Cummins and redo the test. Surely, we aren't acting like the Viper engine isn't good for well over 3,000hp when fully modified, just like a Cummins is right? The only thing impressive about this video is that flextape. What's it made out of? Mithril?

you're really comparing a diesel to a v10 gas..
