I have been having difficulty with the smooth shifts near the end runs of the Chopin nocturn c# minor ( I practice them as "scales") This was very helpful in starting to smooth them out. Though i am learning everything with 1 2 3 4 rather than 1 2 3 and rarely 1 2 1 2 . Same for first run on Ziguenerwiesen. Does anyone have any thoughts on this approach. I focus on having a pinky that is as strong as the other fingers . I think its a good way to learn. Pinky whenever possible. Like the trills at the beginning of the nocturn mentioned, pinky trills, good excercise. Thankyou again.
