Violin Adventures

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This week we start out with an old violin that needed good tender care. After opening it, we found a surprise! We also watch a mountain side get dynamited. We check on the pochette, then proceed to finish a repair on an early 1900's violin, as well as an Hebrew Minute and Freddie's Chat. Enjoy!

The tiny bass bar on the Hoph was too funny. Glad you got volunteer swarms into Mel's hive, that is awesome! You certainly get some serious rainstorms out there, with beautiful green growth to prove it. Thanks for sharing another week in your violin shop. Stupidicus.

The funny thing about the bass bar is that they took the effort to make one, but it was just attached to a really thick plate. The poor violin needs some loving care!!! Thank you for writing Tim. I hope you have a blessed week ahead!

The Hebrew minute was a surprise! I thought I heard the word ishi for salvation? It reminded me at first of husband in Hosea 2. Have done a bit of digging in Strong's. Still not sure. There seems to be two different words that sound similar? Was so disappointed to hear the bees had all gone. It's amazing to have the hives filled up again!

Yes, I put that verse in there with you in mind! The words are similar in sound but the roots are quite different. It would be a great study to take the roots apart and find the meaning from the original letters. Thank you for commenting and have a blessed week!

@@Violinsforu2 There's so much hidden in Hebrew. Aha moment - realised that the same Lord is our husband and our salvation, even if the words aren't connected. Not really a logical conclusion, but a satisfying one, and one I might not have thought about otherwise. So, thank you!

@@isaiah45.3 Definitely, I believe that God does those things on purpose! That is why His Word is so fascinating and full of gems.

Is your Hebrew Minute from Habakkuk 3:18? I have never heard you tap a plate before and obtain such a clear note. I felt I could go to the piano and pick it out! How amazing that two swarms of bees showed up. I hope these ones have the good sense to stay with you God bless your week ahead!

Praise the Lord for the two swarms! As always, this was an interesting video, and the antidotes funny. How many pictures have been turned in so far for the 200th episode? Sounds like that violin was hand made. I can't believe it sounded good being so far off the graduations. Have a great week!

Thank you for commenting, Fay! I haven't counted the pictures but we have about 6 people who have sent things in. This violin will be an interesting one. It seems like each one has its own personality! I pray you have a good week!

Hi, fantastic video as always. May I ask what can cause a low and awful sound on the G string when playing in higher positions? Maybe the bass bar. The violin has a good tone in lower positions. The violinist is a professional so no problem with that.. Thanks

That is a great question. It could be so many things. When we get a rattling sound or growling sound we have a long checklist of things that could be going wrong and sometimes more than one thing is the culprit. It could easily be a loose bass bar. It needs to visit a good violin shop and get a check up! Thank you for asking and hope you. have a great week! You can always send violins my way if they need some help.
