Yes, for quite a few years now, he's been making sure that they get funded. The Qatari envoy used to be allowed to go into Gaza with suitcases full of cash. Bibi also leaked a classified govt. report in 2009, according to Ehud Olmert (then PM), so that a planned ground-op to eradicate Hamas would not happen. He's been playing a double game for decades.

Since the 1947 UN partition, several Muslim Arab Nations have literally tried to destroy all Jews in Israel - even before the 1967 'occupation,' which began as a military victory in a defensive war. There is no innocence in trying to wipe out an entire Israeli nation, that was stamped by the UN. Nothing in this entire conflict is 'in a vacuum,' but what is clear is that the violence needs to end, and agreements have to be reached.

Governing what happens as far as sovereignty and giving it to a refugee people that were initially welcomed after the horrors of the holocaust, is not particularly innocent nor strategic. In a restaurant, someone asked to share my table. I agreed. After a moment, he asked me to leave because he has a meeting! I've been israeled.

This woman at the end... Is she implying that she didn't have this point of view until October 7th? But she is a leader of the settler movement. I doubt that happened in 2 months. Also, I don't know how the settlers can be "law-abiding citizens" while perpetuating and living in an illegal settlement. Sounds like something Ben-Gvir and Netanyahu would say

Settlers see the presence of palestinians as an existential threat ... Why is that ? Because the psyche of settlers comes from trauma. Trauma from the holocaust and from teaching of past european pogroms. And there is the temptation to interpret evrything that comes in the way of them having land from themselves as a threat, and now that they're organised as a "people" they're willing to deal with that threat ... even if palestinians haven't asked to be born there or have the heritage they have ... They find themselves bearing that burden of another's nation trauma and it's too much for them (the palestinians). Part of the solution is the healing of the jewish psyche. It can come from Germany. Germany till this day haven't asked for forgiveness. If it does, it would help jews around the world, especially in Israel to heal, and with them healing, they would percieve palestinians less as a threat.

Israeli vengeance looks a lot like learnt behaviour, from another age another place, proof the cycle of abuse repeats, the abused become the abuser.
