Honestly, this video saved me so much money. I had loads of them to apply to things, and they wouldn't be stuck, so I watched video after video until I found yours and using the back paper to keep sticking and grabbing worked perfectly, so thank you 😊

My vinyl doesn’t lift after cutting, they are not transferring to the tape. Cricut smart vinyl will not come off the backing, all of my colors. I bought a brand new Joy and all Cricut smart vinyl thinking I was doing what was best to get great results, none of them lift. The only way they lift is using strong grip and then they don’t come off that . I am beyond frustrated with the “brand”, the Joy works great.

I used cricut brand adhesive foil vinyl with cricut transfer tape and it just would not pick up on to the tape AT ALL. I then switched to oracal transfer tape and it did the same thing. I had to manually take a razor blade and lift each piece off of the vinyl backing. This same thing happened when I used holographic siser vinyl. I can’t find any solutions for this 😭

Anybody solve this problem yet? Struggling to get it to stick to the transfer tape, or rather... to come off the backing. It's stuck on the backing like it's a permanent bond. Is there a better brand of vinyl/transfer tape?

Cricut needs to step up their game and not focus on selling. This needs to be fixed and auto fill for lettering should be added . A easy way to crop pictures as well . $$$$$$

My transfer tape is leaving residue on the vinyl after applying it what do I do?

another factor could be from oily fingers when touching vinyl! make sure your fingers are free from any oils!

I'm new to this, but I noticed small amounts of oily fingerprints on my cut pieces. Lightly wiping the piece down with rubbing alcohol seemed to help. Still having some issues, but this along with tips like the above video have helped a ton.

I tried all these tricks and nothing is working still, nothing is sticking to the tape at all, the whole decal is only wanting to stick to the paper. this is happening with decals i'm cutting myself and immediately trying to use. Could I have bad tape or something? idk what Im doing wrong

I have no problem with it sticking to the tape my prob is it won’t stick to a surface it stays with the tape.

Hoping someone can answer lol I get my design on the transfer paper however when I stick it on my glass or cup it will not transfer onto the item. It will stay on the transfer paper. Does anyone know why? Or have a solution

Your transfer tape might have too strong of a grip. Try standard grip instead of strong.

I’m having the same issue. I’m rubbing to the point I’m risking tears or still having only some letters come up and then I have to eyeball placement. Not ok for consumers nor to expect them to do that when they purchase something from me.

Hi, im having same issue, i have tried 3 diffrent transfer sheets and done all methods. Nothing seems to be working

So what's the reason when it sticks to the transfer paper (when it comes from the Cricut machine)?

If you mean why does it stay on the paper and not transfer to the tape, sometimes this means the transfer tape you're using isn't sticky enough to pull it off.
