    I also think the stripey quilt is a Coin Quilt. Thats what it reminds me of. Thank you for showing off your quilts. I simply love them all 😍

    I think it’s great that you repurpose quilts, there’s no emotional attachment so easy to do. I also like that you may keep some, but I’m all for repurposing, better than storing away just because it’s a quilt!

    I totally agree! In my head I have a limit on the number I’ll keep (it equals the number of beds in the house), and I’ll also ask my kids if they want one (they usually say no; they like the jackets better). Some old quilts are fabulous examples of handwork and color play. Others are more utilitarian and can serve a new purpose.

    The trip around the world quilt was probably a 30s/40s quilt top that someone finished much later.

    The stripe quilt might be Roman Coins, or Stacked Coins.

    As I noted in the video, some of these are in too good of shape to cut up. They’ll stay in my collection
