"one of the makers" would not have been a great marketing for any of the companies. Agreeing on original vs genuine was an interesting but probably good idea.

A couple of little gems! Let us know how you get on with Victorinox regarding the repair.

I got a late 70’s to 80’s Alox Electrician in silver for $42 today that is in okay condition and the implements are in great condition. EBay can have some good deals. I got a like new Manager in Blue Sapphire for $12 last week. I can’t complain about those prices

That's a nice group of SAK's! I believe that Sharp was a knife sharpener that was made in the 80's. I'm pretty sure my dad had one.

Have several years trying to figure out what model my first SAK was (lost it long time ago) By any chance do you have / know a... let’s say an actual swiss champ but without the magnifying glass layer or... a handyman but with the fish scaler. Was bought brand new in late 80’s - 90’s and completely sure it had the crossbow stamped but don’t remember what else. (Already looked sakwiki, asked fb groups experts and even victorinox, no luck)

Does it have the saws? Anything unique about the scales? There's some variants of the Angler / Deluxe Angler / Waterman / Angler With Pliers / Angler Plus, etc, if you check the SAKwiki for Angler. It's always possible that there are other variants or limited runs for distributors that have not been documented well during that era.

@@Thirsty_Fox it had both, metal and wood saw. Standard red modern scales. Just take a swisschamp and get rid of the magnifying glass layer, and that was. The only tool I’m not 100% sure is the parcel hook. Already checked all sakwiki site. I dont think it was a “special” but also have thought maybe a rare small run, even a “pilot” run. Has been a weird feeling not knowing what was my only sak for quite some childhood years.
