Vintage Morgan Excalibur 6 L mouthpiece - Extended

Музыка

I've gotten a lot of questions over time about a short video I recorded some time back. Decided to get up this morning and record a video while I had my coffee. The good the bad and the ugly of getting up and playing first thing. Horn is a Super 80 series II. Be good.

I have nothing but respect for old vintage equipment. Modernization does not necessarily reflect improvement.

The Morgan may have played easier but I thought the Link had more texture, presence and core. Metal Links are so challenging to play but just sound so good.

Yeah, it was definitely interesting to put them back to back, which I really didn't intend on doing. I thought at different points the Morgan sounded more centered but when a link is dialed in it's pretty awesome.

@@jimcsax Yeah its that "dialing in" that's tough. I may go back to a HR V16 T6.

    Prefer the Link, no doubt.

Yeah, i've played links for 3 years now so i'm used to them. I do think if I spent more time on the Morgan, or one a little bigger that i'd get more out of it.
