you inspired people like me, i am a grandma... but when i was young, maybe around 12, i used to skate every weekend at the luneta park, now i am, not young but i love to skate and i miss it..for 34 years of working to support the family ...i forget myself...its time for self love..skate bbkel! bend and bounce! its time to glide!!!

The Real Push, Nice story, that is how I started skating @ 7 yrs ago at the age of 60. My daughter asked for skates for her 10th birthday. I took her to the rink, she told me I had to skate too. Does your daughter still skate? Mine stopped after a couple of years. I had the bug by then.

I used to take my son out to diner and skating every friday. Then the thugs took over the rink and it wasn't safe. We had our date night for 4 years. He even remembers now that he is 21 and asked why we stopped. I miss those days.

In my 20's I used to skate with a friend, who came up with the idea, not sure. We would drive to SF, Fishermans Wharf to roller skate. Past the Wharf is Aquatic Park with the drummers, past that is a concrete (blacktop,?) pier that was great to skate on. We made friends with the guys selling Crab 🦀, so we got free Crab, and they showed us where to park for free. It was so fun. I had blue suede skates. Great memory because we both had a great time. I need new skates and will skate outside. I studied Ice Dancing for ten years and I can do some of the moves from ice to roller skating. No rink, but I found out there is. an abandoned Church in SF, called the Church of 8 wheels. Great name. Again, great memories.🛼🛼💐💐
