I became an early fan of synthesized music to the point of several partially successful builds. I was following the Don Lancaster Popular Electronics series in my high school electronics class (1975) involving DIY VCOs, VCAs, VCFs, etc. Still love music and am an extra Class ham too. KK6VDR.

Traumhaft...bin zurück in meiner Jugend (heute 72). Compact-Phaser war 1974 mein erstes Effektgerät. Das Rhodes hat heute mein Sohn. Sehr gut gespielt und sattes Set!!! Danke!!!

I heard a couple of flubbed notes and my God it is so nice to hear normal playing. I watch a ton of "perfect" videos, that in reflection were probably recorded several dozen times and only the flawless example is shown. It's really refreshing to hear someone play organically, without robotic precision, and yes, tap the G with a little finger when playing F. It really makes this human.

Great gear, great playing and some sneaky songs in there. Saga Ice Nice was a pleasant surprise, I thought I recognized that. That Phaser on the String Machine was heaven!

In the original it was string synthesizer and Minimoog for bass, here he played two hands on strings (more polyphony), and bass played by feet

Thanks for inviting us on this little trip! You are certainly worthy of such a collection. And the updated Mellotron is the way to go; 1/5th the wieght, 1/3rd the cost, and it does not go out of tune every 5 minutes! Bravo!

Not to nit-pick... but the voyager is WAY too new for your vintage collection. Yes... So is the memotron... but Rod Argent uses them now, so... 😁

I've whatched this video maybe 5 times or more, and in the last I watch you a friend of mine, and when the video its over Thomas says humbly "Thanks for your time" and my friend sayed to me "No no no my friend, thanks for YOUR time". Simply awesome ... nice that you also included a german band "Spliff" ... the Radio Show is one of the greatest German Rock albums ever made! All these keyboards are also on my wish list, especially the hammond and the minimoog!
