Not a movement you come across very often is it, I’ll keep a beady eye out for a donor and let you know if one comes across one, it will make an interesting video of the rebuild though. 😉👍

That's very kind of you and would be greatly appreciated. It's not a common movement at all and was a mystery as to what it was until I opened it. I'm quite annoyed that the tip of the chrono runner broke and only noticed on emptying the cleaning basket and checking all the parts. I don't know if it was already weakened/broken on removing the hands though the missing part wasn't in the pipe of the seconds hand or if it happened in the cleaning basket.

@@spidiq8 it could of easily got caught in the weave of a mesh basket if you use that type of cleaner but it sounds like it was in a bit weak state to break off like that doesn’t it, I wonder if a made up extension could be the answer if there’s enough clearance to allow it.

@@nickjohnson217 That could be the cause but it's considerably thicker than a typical pivot and I've had numerous much more fragile pivots through the cleaner. Because I didn't inspect it in detail prior to putting in the cleaning baskets there's no way to know.
