You are the master, Mr. William Lane. It’s amazing how much knowledge you have in your brain! I met you at your shop in Melbourne in 2006. Not much interaction, you were real busy. How come you are in Tennessee?

Well, you just sold a welding table for Northern Tool, I have a large welding table on steel wheels I built a few years back, but it’s still a handful to move around, this one you showed would be perfect, especially if I wanted to do some welding and cutting outside during the summer, I’ll mount it on a heavy duty roll around set of low shelves I made, will be perfect. 👍

I have that same table from Northern Tool and I agree, you can't go wrong for $200. I have a nice dual voltage Lincoln MP 3 in 1 Tig, Mig, Stick welder I paid $1400 for with everything. I picked up a dual voltage Klutch 230 SI welder for $1000 and it came with a tig, spool gun, stick, mig, and foot pedal all for that price, and it's an awesome welder. The tig does stainless steel, steel, and aluminum beautiful. I recommend Northern Tool to everyone. The prices are good and they sell Dewalt, Milwaukee, Stihl outdoor chainsaws, trimmers, and so on. They know me by name because they're just 10 mins, if that from me. My tools come off the tool trucks so I can't say how good they are, but otherwise, I recommend.

When you part off in a lathe, you can stick something in the center like a screwdriver to keep the flange from falling and get dented. I'm sure it's not easy while holding a camera though...

I use a wooden dowel in the tailstock chuck. But couldn’t find it the morning I shot these. You’re correct though, great way to catch the part.

That's gonna be one BAD-*** flathead right there. Can't wait to see the rest of the build. Hey bro, it was great to finally meet you again at the Greensboro show. Only wish we had more time to talk. But, out of respect for others I moved on a long. Had it not been for that, I probably would have talked your head off. Lol Anyways, what's your opinion on SU carbs on Harley's ? I've been doing a little research on them lately. Pretty interesting.
