Vintage Dodge Pickup Truck
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
this is a 1946 dodge pickup which belongs to my father, he restored it in the early seventies in his high school auto shop class. The first song is Murder in the City by The Avett Brothers, and the second song is Blood Shot Bill by The Trappers.
The truck is pretty much bone stock, with the exception of the air cleaner and some of the interior knobs. The tires are old bias ply tires and do get square if it sits for long. Enjoy

Glad this showed up in my recommended. Hope its still running strong these 13 years later
this movie has the same effect on me as the notebook has on all women. makes me cry out of joy and fall in love with cars all over again and at the same time not happy with the one i have now. amazing video.
What an absolute gorgeous truck! Thank you for keeping her stock, way too many molested old trucks out there, I own a stock 49 Chevy 3100, it's such a joy to own and drive an original! Love the music too, it fit perfectly!
The truck is COOL ! Old pickups are my favorite classic vehicles especially when they're from my birth year ! The only thing I do not care for are the painted bumpers. Chrome is so much nicer and really makes the truck look better in my opinion. The blue on the truck looks nice. Keep er runnin !
what a great video and beautiful truck, thanks for showing us the old girl.👍👍
This was a real treat to behold and share this event . I love it in every way. I absolutely love the truck.
Love the sound of the truck's voice!
Great video!! I have a 1946 3/4 ton that me and my grandpa bought at a auction from the original owner in 1982.I still have it.Thanks for sharing.
Just noticed this video celebrated its 12th anniversary about 4 days ago. Got me to thinking, I wonder if Scott is still driving that ol' truck. I certainly hope so. Happy belated anniversary, 1946 Dodge truck video. =)
The first time I drove our '44 my dad almost teared up because not only was it clear I had grown up but because it was the first time in over thirty years he had sat on the passenger side of the truck while someone else drove it.

I had the 1948 Dodge like this With a flathead 6 cylinder engine. Brought all the lumber up the mountain to build my house.
Beautiful truck. Great going for a ride in it. Thanks.

Have a 42-46 dodge as well. It's been sitting for 49 years. Need to try and restore it. My great grandfather started out family business with it. Family history in it for sure. Has a giant fuel tank on the back. Can't wait to start the restoration

I love this video. I have my vintage truck. I have isuzu elf'60.
Nice truck!
es un hemoso video para los amantes de las pick up del 40.
I love the body style on those 40's Dodges except for the front end.
Well done, interesting filming.
Lovery clip and we have one in Australia, keep on a Truckin.
i had a similar one in the mid sixties in Phoenix, AZ. Great when it ran. I painted it red with white trim. sharp. it was reengined when I got it with a 47 Plymouth engine. Exterior the same. but, it's starter was mear junk. the trick was to get it tueninting over thehn let it go tom ignition alone. Crnkig drew all the juice, not enogh to fire it. ut, o the starter overrun, it would fire. then quiet and smooth. Some starter work r even a rebuilt would have mad a neat ruck. As a Ford guy, I let it be dold and got Ford tht fired and ran, after i fixed that!! I've always had a soft spot for old pickups, I've had a passsel of them. Carl
Neat video!
Beautiful Dodge
Nice 👍👍👍👍
Not many around cuz they were not big sellers like Ford and Chevy, neat old trucks though.
Interesting under truck video! (looks like the driver's rear wheel is slightly warped.)
when i get a classic im keeping it till she dont start or i see a way better one
I always wonder why these guys dont get their hands some some of the larger unimog portal axles.
This is the same thing as a 1941 Plymouth pickup truck.
the gross vehicle weight is 4800, but the actual weight is closer to 2900lbs.
Kill the music so we can hear the truck.
Just wanted to make sure you saw this - Hello Scott! I was wondering if you might be up for leasing this footage for a music video? I edit for a Boston band and they are looking to feature a truck like this in their next music video. Thanks so much!

Why do you need to know?
Back when you could put any engine in it like old school jeeps a ford with a Boss 302
After having to look at all those horrible, hideous, butt-ugly Toyotas, I can wash my eyes out looking at this cool truck!
