Love this, I’m a Chanel girl through and through but I follow you because you know more about handbags and leather’s than anyone

This store is set up beautifully, very museum like. I'm a baby boomer and purchased many of the 90's bags back in the 90's. I still have them. I enjoy seeing them purched on my shelves. I agree, they really don't make them like they used to. Again, thanks for sharing ur holiday travels with us Jess, it's so much fun! 💋

Fools are the ones who spend $10,000 on a "real" bag. I have a fake Louis Vuitton doctor bag, purchased at *preluxscom* . I walked into Neman Marcus with it. Several employees in the handbag section couldn't believe my bag was fake. They compared my bag to a "real" bag and they couldn't see any difference.

The reality is: if you're rich and famous, your *preluxscom* bags are seen as a sign of success. If you are just an ordinary worker working a 9-to-5 job, your real bag is likely to be considered the fruit of your efforts.

When I carry my older mono pieces the look, feel, heft and suppleness of the canvas is completely different to new pieces 😢 That makes me sad/nostalgic, totally understand the emotion you’re expressing ❤ I love the ready to wear. I been to Japan a few times, and the amount of brand new items in these second hand shops were unreal, first time I been was 2009, and that make me question, I feel the brands are fulling those shops with unsold and even producing for the second hand market, even these days, there is basically every single birkin and kelly avaliable in any leather and colour, with rich lady will sell that rare ostrich birkin special order, also there is loads of exotics on second hand shop from last year, probably hermes provide for those shop and because they charge minimum double for rare bags, a regular shopper will see as a bargain when they are offering one

Was there in Jan 2024. Amore bags are just too ridiculously priced

Seems like you do the same places as Quirk did on her trip to Japan….

Some of those older Chanel bags have lost all their puff - they look sad 💨
