​@Weirdlayer01 I see what you're saying but that's not true. This is an 80s car. 80s cars are notorious for being low quality builds and rushed to production. They have terrible rust issues but the aesthetic is there to be sure. Modern cars lack aesthetics.

Tbf this is a very rare case of any of these features working on a classic car, let alone all of them. These features were cheaply and haphazardly put into these cars and usually didn’t last more than 5-10 years. The car itself will run forever as long as it’s not abused and maintained tho. Can’t go wrong with a 302 and aod trans

Because these cars were unsafe, impractical, and huge gas guzzlers. Long bulky family sedan that was a pain in the ass to park normally, unsafe features no crumple zones so you take much of the damage in a car accident, and gas guzzlers that probably made 8mpg

It reminds me of a Town Car that was featured as a grand prize of Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes 35 years ago. As a pre-teen back then, I begged my dad to sign up so he could win the car. Thoughts of riding to school in opulent style come to mind. Of course, he refused to sign up.

It’s a 1st Generation Lincoln Town Car from the late 80s. If you want to purchase one (which I would disparage if you do not have the money or space for a classic car), the prices are generally around $15,000 for one in good condition.

My grandparents had a 1989, it was white and didn’t have the digital dash, it’s still sitting at their old house, it hasn’t drove in over 10 years, I might try to see if my uncle will sell the car to me so I can fix it up. It was a part of my childhood until I was about 7 (2013) when it had some issue and stopped running. These cars were some of the best, and my grandparents also had a 1998 and a 2002, the 1998 has been gone since around the time I was 9-10, my mom had the car and the ball joint broke but she didn’t have the money to fix it and it got donated. I didn’t know about it for a while because I was in foster care but last year I went to see her and she still had the old spare key and gave it to me. I got a copy made for it because I plan on getting a 2nd gen Town Car and since they don’t have the security chip in the keys I can just change the lock cylinder to match the 1998 key and use it with the car. Also the 2002 is still at my grandparents house I might see if my uncle would sell it to me also. That one runs and drives so I’d probably have a buddy bring a trailer for the 1989 and I’d drive the 2002 home. If I ever get lucky I’ll try to get the 1998 back and surprise my mom.
