Trammel Points, but I only have the points. So, I'll clean up the points and mill a trammel for them. This will give me a complete tool, and a cool one at that.
Жүктеу.....

I was kinda expecting a mirror shine out of that tumbler but I guess you never know, so many different alloys out there.....Still turned out fantastic, I love the ornate old tools.

I was hoping the Tumblr would work better as well. All in all it was clean and I suppose I could spend more time with some very high grit, wet sandpaper, and get it to a higher polish. I also do like the old look. Thanks so much for coming by the shop and have a great weekend.

Those trammels are beautiful, Years ago they were one of the go to tools in the building trades.

They are beautiful. People used to take pride in their tools and expect their tools to last a lifetime. There are a lot of uses for a Trammell points, especially getting right angles on large projects and laying out floors for tile. Also for transferring measurements. Thanks so much for your visit and have a great weekend.

Nice work! I think I could read the adjustable one does say Millers Falls on the top line. That would be why they are two different lengths. They're from two different companies.

That’s an interesting thought. They do look an awful lot alike. I know that sometimes different companies would commission the same manufacture to build stuff for them. For example, Mann edge tool company made a lot of axes for a lot of different companies. It would be interesting to know if this is the case here. Thanks so much for sharing and hope you have a great weekend.

Good points. If you go back to your footage where you look at the adjustable one, I really think I see the bottom half of 'Millers..." with other lines spaced out that it could read Falls. Just a thought. You too have a great weekend!
