Francie , in my opinion had the best style, look , and clothes from all the Barbie dolls. Heck, I love 60's music as a 70's baby. I give a big ❌ to the 80's big haired Barbie's☠❌

Such a wonderful review!!! I enjoyed watching very much!!! I absolutely love this reproduction!!! She has such a sweet face!!! When you showed the after result, washing and combing out her hair, for a quick minute I thought you had a original AA Francie!!! She really did resemble the original 1967 WOW!!! I own 2 of the original 1967 AA Francie’s and they have kept their original hair color and skin tone very well. No weird green color and no heavy oxidation to the hair. I would love to purchase one of the reproductions though. The reproduction bodies are amazing and look almost identical to the originals. I love how the reproduction dress has the intact button and loop closures. What detail!!! Love the reviews keep up the great work and also congratulations on getting married!!! Thank you 😊❤️ I am glad you liked it 😊 I LOVE this repro. I know right!? I am so thrilled at how closely she resembles the original, especially when in vintage clothes. You are so lucky to have two good examples of the original dolls. You must have that other version I was talking about. I don't own an original but I have two friends that have them and I love looking at them when I visit. YES! I was so shocked to see how accurate the body was, especially the neck knob! The buttons are a nice touch too but overall the dress is a bit meh. It is just a bit too synthetic for my liking. Thank you so much! ❤️😊 I have two more videos all ready to go but they are smaller ones. But at least I am getting back into the Barbie groove 😂😊

Vintage I love her

When I found out they made another repro Black Francie, I bought five (yes FIVE!), bc I just love her that much and also wanted to get her at a good price. You probably know that the direction the lines are going on the repro dress is wrong, they should be slanting to the left...and her eyes are a little darker than they should be...but otherwise she is gorgeous. Well worth the investment.

FIVE! Wow! Where did you get them? Yes, my friend Eddi has both the original and repro. The repro dress doesn't compare TBH but the doll is stunning. I like the darker eyes. The original orange eyes never appealed to me 🥰

The box graphics actually look the same as the ones from my 1968 World Of Barbie House, and also a little bit like the Francie/Casey 'House-Mate' case, which she is now displayed just above. I love how her hair looks after that gunk was removed! She looks just like the later 1968 version with the cooler skin tone and darker hair like that! PLEASE don't chuck the box! I have an idea for it, (though it may not work! 😜 ) FRANCIE FRAN! LOL 🤣 Loved the 'I'm Happy, I'm Barbie' Live Action soundtrack at the end!

Great video! I have this reproduction and love her but didn't even think about changing her hair. LOVE how you styled it! She looks so perfectly vintage, and now I want to do the same thing (but I don't think I have your skills, heh).

Thank you ❤️ I am thrilled with the way her hair came out. It looks closer to the original. Francie never had a tightly curled flip so I find it odd that they gave her one here. Honestly, just washing out the gel with hot water may help a lot. I didn't really do anything crazy myself, just dipped her head in water from the kettle.

A very pretty doll. I agree she is one of the best reproductions Mattel has done. I am very tempted to get her but I generally only collect pre-mod Barbie due to lack of space.

Isn't she though!? I have had a few repro dolls and kept NONE of them. But I am sure this girl is staying. I was so sad when they did that repro of the straight leg in Miss teenage beauty as the original dolls aren't that HTF. I was worried they were going to so something similar but I am so happy they didn't. Oh, I get that. pre-mod is VERY special, I have limited space but I just can't help myself 😂

I hate those plastic pins they put in the dolls head too lol, they are such a pain and some of my dolls still have little pieces of plastic in their head. Your francies perfect cant wait to get mine ❤️☺️

Oh, I would have died if I had a friend with a Francie. Luckily she wasn't around when I was a kid. Yes, I wasn't saying the full face was bad. I don't think I really dislike anything about this doll. I am so surprised at how much I like her. I love Brad too! I don't own one though 😭

I know. But when they do something like this I have learnt not to leave it till later. I regret not getting the repro's of rare/prototype stuff as they end up so expensive on the secondary market. It is a TNT Francie swimsuit. It came on some of the vintage dolls 😊❤️

Just a note... I'm pretty sure the baggie dolls are bootleg. And that being true are worth a lot of money but I don't know about a statute of limitations for selling bootleg or that type of things. I know if it's current, it's illegal with a large fine.

I wouldn’t be able to confirm that one way or another as I wasn’t around when they were originally sold. You could try and find someone that owned one as a child to see if they bought it legally. She is definitely a Mattel product though. Exact same moulds, logo, and materials. I read that it was Mattel’s way of using up old parts and that is why she was the last Francie made. I have a review of Baggie Francie on my channel 😊❤️

If you mean the original baggie barbies, they bagged the dolls were actual Barbies that were just too old to have on the main display along with the latest releases but still new enough to keep selling as stock. They do not do this anymore and haven’t since at least 30 years. In the 90s I think they been just redressing and renaming the dolls but now they seem to recycle the surplus of the dolls stock back to the factory which is why the bendy rubber on their legs are no longer made (unless on special release?oh right he just explained why the legs got stopped as I typed this) because they are too difficult to separate to recycle with.

This is EXACTLY what i was waiting for. i have been scouring KZread for a quality review and found less than a handful. i feel like the executives at Mattel either don't know about Barbie's world or they don't care. That blurb on the back was a little ridiculous and cringe-y. i still have my box. i doubt that i will be throwing it away. No time soon, at least. Thank you so much for explaining the legs. i can barely get two clicks out of mine. i think i can forgive Mattel, too. i love how you styled your Francie! She actually looks more like the original (obviously, i love the swimsuit😁). i thought i wanted the hair to look more like the original, but i really like the big flip. However, seeing yours makes feel at ease with the possibility of losing the big flip. i am a little disappointed that she's shorter than the original, but that's alright. i hope to find the "No Bangs" Francie dress. I was surprised to see only one decent review of this doll! And so many of those stupid “shorts” which are NOT useful for reviews. I am glad you found this video useful. Oh, the blurb is AWFUL. So is that illustration. I just don’t get it 🤷🏼‍♂️ Why not get YOU to do the artwork? 🥰 There are so many talented artists out there and that is the crap they go for 🤦‍♂️ Yes, the legs we can forgive them for though 😂 Oh yes, the swimsuit! I was looking through all of my clothes for Francie and it is the only thing that spoke to me 😑 I need more Francie clothes 😊😂 The flip does look lovely, especially when it is feathered. But I really wanted mine to look like one I saw in a picture years ago. I got attached to that one particular doll 😂 I will send you the pic on IG. She IS short for a TNT, but not too short for Francie generally. So I don’t think it is too bad. She is the same height as Baggie Francie. I hope you find the no bangs dress too 🤞🏻 it is gorgeous! My dad once said it looked VERY familiar and that one of my aunts may have had it. Thank you ❤️😊

I can't remember, was I talking about the underdress or the outer? Neither are taffeta. I can't remember the underdress but the outer is organza.

All 3 of mine had bad lashes, chopped hair, chipped lips, badly screened eyeballs, and black marks on her face

@@DeanReen I wanted to unbox one! I only got 3 to increase my chances of getting one good one, but we see how that worked out. I tried to remove the spots with alcohol and acetone, but they stayed right there. Ugh....Not sure what to do. Return the third one and just give up, or just pay a higher cost on ebay to find a good one! So frustrating!
