Yeah basically haha. I will say that after a few months of having her, I still take her out from time to time to restyle her. She looks great with her hair washed out!

I ordered two Black Francies from mattel and both boxes were dented. Like you, I'm not an in-box collector so I didn't really care, however the box had beautiful graphics and it's a shame that they mistreat the boxes so badly because I'm sure that some in-box collectors were disappointed. Your comments about helmet hair were funny. I haven't washed my dolls hair yet but I plan on doing that. I agree with you about the pricepoint, the dress is okay but basic. I would have loved an extra pair of shoes since Francie shoes are always hard to find. I have one of mine redressed in a vintage outfit, my second Black Francie will probably get redressed as well. Thanks for the review.

Her hair washes out very nicely. It’s incredibly soft!

I ordered from Mattel months ago, it never arrived and had to fight w them to get my money back. Shocking that the box arrives damaged being a collector item. But still… she is beautiful!❤️

i have wanted a Colored Francie doll for years. The seller site listings are insultingly overpriced (i wonder if anyone actually purchases those), so i was very excited when i heard that a reproduction was coming. Your critique of the dress was spot-on. i found it very underwhelming at first sight. When she arrived at my house and i had a chance to examine her closer, i was a little irritated to see that her eyelashes were uneven. Her hair is what took the cake. They didn't even give her saran hair. A doll of such historical importance and THIS is how Mattel introduces her?? An ill-fitting dress , shoes that don't fit, hard hair and NOT ONE accessory? No extra outfit? Having said all that, i am enjoying my Francie. It took some work but she is finally presentable. i washed her hair and evened out her lashes. i only have three or four outfits for her for now, including the "Floating In" dress. i know that shopping for her will be something of a Herculean task on a financial scale, but i'm not in a hurry. i very much enjoyed this video. i look forward to seeing what else you review.

Thank you! I’m totally with you. It’s like they didn’t expect anyone to take her out of the box. How did the hair washing go? any styling tips? I have yet to do it. The eyelashes needed some fixing for me too. Not bad just gently brushed with a needle.

Yes,$50 is a little too high,$30 to $35 are the right price.I think i might get her.
