I got my first Barbie at 50. I never got to play with dolls as a kid because my twin sister hated them, and she was the loud one. I find Barbie relaxing and mentally calming. Combing, cleaning, redressing, etc. makes me happy. Very, very happy.

Not to be bossy but just to add to your knowledge , the skirt for your black Barbie goes to fashion photo barbie, and the pink tights goes to a 90s Barbie that bends at the legs ,rocker Barbie tights don't have feet . the Malibu sweater is a ken sweater she's in great condition!

Reproduction barbies -especially the late repros & even this one are thinner in the bust area. Also I have one real #3 barbie ponytail & she is quite a bit smaller in the bust. I've been able to get some Poppy outfits on these barbies.

I’m a minimalist too and have a small collection of wooden animals and figurines from Ostheimer made in Germany that I really enjoy as decor around my house . I feel that “less is more” when it comes to collections. I have zero interest in Barbie dolls (not sure why your video popped up) but I must say ~> your collection looks really lovely ❤

The hair to me is the biggest thumbs down, my vintage blonde Midge's hair just stays perfect the way it is, curls and bangs in place without all that gel, the hair fiber nowadays sucks.

Haha, I just pulled mine out of the draw to have a look at her feet. Mine has a very small imperfection on her right foot and slightly worse on her left. Very annoying for you though. I suppose there are doll restorers out there who could probably do a good job at repairing her if it concerns you.

I don't like the feeling of looking for a doll to get. I think in general it would be good to find ways to enjoy the hobby without always having to spend money or fill up space. So yeah I understand that annoying cycle. I generally just collect things I like (not a completionist) but I try hard to really ask myself if the doll I'm looking at will actually please me. I'm not really a big Barbie collector because I'm still trying to figure out what I want out of a Barbie collection. But I saw the new Sapphire BFMC and I decided to get her. She will be my first BFMC doll and though she's not actual vintage, I like the vibe and I have an appreciation for Silkstones so I look forward to having my first and very own.

So sorry about you're roof problem. I recently got 2 1980s maxie dolls. And a 1990s beach skipper doll. Both are in good condition. The hair on both dolls is long and thick.

My Glam N Groom Barbie from 1999/2000 has black Mary Janes like those you made but that's the only instance of legit Mattel made Barbie Mary Janes in that style I remember off the top of my head.
