Love it! Love penny & hex tiles. Agree those big tiles are not appropriate in old houses....

Love everything! I have an old brass cup holder mounted to the wall rail. Also rewired 100 yo wall sconces, old light switches (rewired) and an old tub! I looked around for a tall pantry type cabinet in OG brown stain and am using it for storage. I have reinstalled wood beadboard and wood floors. Someone told me they expected to see a wall jointed higher toilet tank! I took it as a compliment. ❤

Love the tile too! Never thought much about chrome verses nickel when thinking about perid appropriate when doing our old houses.

The tub was running lengthwise against the wall when I bought the house, but it didn't leave much room for the sink on the other wall. Get some graph paper and draw out to scale some different layouts to see what will work best.

Super cute! I will need to redo my bathroom one day and there are some good ideas here! Love that thick porcelain sink! I'm not a fan of tubs...I do not take baths. So will likely have a stark departure from an authentic tub with shower ring and go with tile shower in the corner. Maybe they did those in the 20's? Hmmm....

Nice bathroom, but you should have a GFI outlet ground fault interrupter outlet. So if you drop something electrical into your sink right there it will flip it and you won't get shocked!

Love all the research and care, and your explanations! All the tiles look wonderful with the grey grout 💖💕 The detail about differentiating the bathroom door so visitors would know is fascinating. Only thing I don't like is the toilet paper position; where was it originally? Could you put a patterned outer fabric on the shower rail to soften that cold white on the liner? Many thanks for a great video. 💖💕🇨🇦

Adrienne, I loved your video. Beautiful bathroom. Your hard work paid off. I also love your enthusiasm for everything vintage. Me too, I also love everything vintage. Btw, do you remember which grout brand and name you used? Also, did you use 1/16 or 1/8 grout lines? Thank you. Any info would be greatly appreciated as I am currently renovating my bathroom. Keep up the great work.

When you demo'd the room did you have to put up dry wall before you could tile? If not... what can you use? We're in the "research" phase for our bathroom reno and I do NOT want to use drywall in there if I can help it!

You have to put up tile backer board that can handle the weight of the tile and mortar and possible moisture. They'll have it at big box stores.

So beautiful. Except for the bathtub ( I prefer American Standard & Kohler in colors), it's a gorgeous bathroom. One of the biggest mistake homeowners, remodelers, & realtors are making is remodeling classic kitchens & bathrooms, especially in homes built before the 1950s. I groan whenever I see what they've done. This obsession to make these beautiful colored bath fixtures white is so generic. Note to home sellers, home buyers do not need you to assume they'll like something basic & plain. If they want that, they can do that themselves.
