There's something magical about Vinnie. Very disturbing.
That really was a Masterclass of the traditional grip left hand play. Fun to watch and listen to the mastery.
The ghost notes at 9:32 are executed with such accuracy and feel, just amazing!!

***** I've played a pair of his signature drum sticks and the fulcrum for bounce is pretty low compared to most sticks.
Vinnie is on another planet
4:15 - 4:25 threw that brotha off the bus !
Does anyone else miss Vinnie old sound on the Yamahas? I mean, Vinnie can make any drum sound good, no matter the quality. But damn, I really loved the way his Recording Custom Yamahas sounded.

AHHHHH! ALL DAY!
Vinnie XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX WOW!!!! was a great concert.
fave soundcheck video - then VC cruised through the gig while his sweat dried. I say Kudos if U've got the lattitude to go that hard in soundcheck, nobody on stage was objecting (seemingly)
Um Vídeo Maravilhoso como esse... Ainda não sei como ainda tem 11 pessoas q não aprovaram, muita falta de Sabedoria. Mas como Gosto não se Discute, então vamos Respeitar!!!
Wow - what a discolicious rare delight - brilliant post :)
Vinnie rules!
WOW!!! Just WOW!!
this is a brilliant video he has such a blast playing like the double fist pump at 7 mins. Vinnie is on fire this video. totally brilliant.
That’s one bad ass bassist. He was just patiently waiting for his turn!
still love your work!!
the greatest
UNREAL !!!
Good as it gets!
Vinnie's playing: awsome. Vinnie actually wearing a shirt on stage: priceless!

When you find the FLOW...you just got to let it GO!!!
I wonder what Vinnie was like in his teens on the drums, I read somewhere he would practice his rudiments during classes, the guy was totally obsessed with drumming, rudiments, practicing, and learning, he would offer people drum pads to practice on when they went to his home, I read that somewhere else haha

SXI96 I heard his wife divorced him because of his obsession with his practicing everywhere they went!! He always carried a pair of sticks with him and i could see a woman being fed up and annoyed with this type of behaviour!!
@SXI96

truthbtold he's obsessed with it, but then again, maybe that is the sacrifice it takes to be one of the world's best ever, also with the kind of traveling and recording he does, i'm sure that also wears down a marriage quickly

there's a story from zappas roadie that he would let him drum on the walls or hotels and anywhere and pay for the damage because he knew he was so talented.

my goodness Vinnie. Youve changed, though so have I.
The sound engineer just told him to play a fill :).
The fill at 2:40...and that was in response to "give me some general Tom fills" for the sound check! LoL
@lorenzmuller3542

2:40 is not that hard as it looks and sounds like. it's basically just a 7strokeroll followed by singles around the toms. But what Vinnie does to perfection is that he doesn't think about licks and fills anymore.
@starchild692

Lorenz Müller It's not A 7 stroke roll It starts with a sextuplet followed by 5 singles then 5 strokes roll followed by 5 singles ....and its just hard as it looks and sounds its super fast and very challenging.

Lorenz Müller John Riley says its a 6 stroke followed by 6 singles. It's a very easy lick to speed up but applying it musically and adding your own variations can be tough
Garibaldi + Weckl + Steve Smith = Vinnie. He’s not human.
Nice - a little "Actual Proof" thrown in there. Anyone else playing Mike Clark would sound sub par. Vinnie is probably the only one that can do it justice.

Oh that groove @ 1:00.....
such a tasty drummer!
Guy: Some general fills around the toms! Vinnie: yeee booii!
some general tom fills!!!! omg
4:18 is hilarious
You could tell Vinny was getting bugged with the sound check with this Drum check at the end the end there, because he goes nuts at the end what he’s doing is letting up frustration because he’s sick as hell of these guys asking him to hit Tom Tom’s all the time bother getting the sound levels adjusted that’s the last thing he wants to do so events by going nuts on the drum set sounds great though doesn’t it!?! When is not the most patient person in the world is He?
What is the slow song they play briefly at the very beginning @ 0:05 - 27?
4:17 is dummy lit
which snare is ? Chrome over brass or aluminum ?
4.16 what a great groove, reminiscent of Stewart Copeland. Some great stuff in here but would you expect anything else. Not if you've tried to play along to Joe's Garage.
4:17 that hi-hat polyrhythm!!
any better resolution of this one?
Does anyone know what model of ride cymbal he's playing?
We need a groove like no other on this tour, any suggestions? GET VINNIE
