I always thought “Welcome foolish mortals to the Haunted Mansion. I am your host - your Ghost Host” was more better for the Ghost Host.

When I read Dracula, all I could hear in my head was Vincent Price’s voice with Dracula’s dialogue.

Who better to have as a Haunted Mansion ghost host than a master of horror like Vincent Price?

Le fait que Disneyland Paris ait remis sa voix pour notre phantom manor est pour moi un bonheur 😍 malgré que sa voix est sensé faire peur elle a aussi un côté calme et agréable. J'adore l'entendre

They should have used this audio for the Ghost Host in Muppets Haunted Mansion. Such a missed opportunity.

It would be so cool if they themed the ride and audio around the original book. For example, the stretching room could have been a room full of mirrors, in reference to the maze of mirrors. In the book, Erik was a great architect and engineer. He was also a skilled vocal artist. These narrative elements could have played well with Disney brand.

The phantom/narrator for Phantom Manor is voiced by the same actor as Rattigan from Great Mouse Detective. Vincent Price

Mister Ravenswood bien que je suis super content de pouvoir l’écouter en vrais (ne l’ayant jamais entendu à Disney) je ne comprend du coup pas trop leurs logique... j’ai cru entendre qu’ils voulaient préciser la story line de l’attraction au visiteurs. Mais pour moi ce n’es pas en utilisant l’anglais qu’ils vont réussir 🤷‍♂️. Enfin bon on verra en 2019 😍

I love Vincent Price. However, he did not do a good job with this voice. His voice here is too nice and saintly. I know hes perfectly capable of doing scary like Paul Frees version. But, for some reason someone made the mistake of telling him not to read the script in a dark tone.

It’s a different reading from the other parks. Enjoy it for its own charms. I think Vincent Price sounds more like a real character here.

He sounds menacing when he says “she’ll just *_diiieee_* if you wait”. I think he just wanted to be more playful and only subtly menacing, like he wants to lull you into a false sense of security before he finally hints at more sinister intent at the end.

His laugh is alright, but I prefer Paul Frees as the Ghost Host.
