“Best” case scenario is that Vince entered into a consensual relationship with someone who he then hired at his publicly traded company, had group sex with her and another employee during work hours at the office, shared explicit stories and pictures of her with other employees during work hours, used her as a sexual bargaining chip while negotiating an employment agreement with yet another employee and then used company money to pay her off. Unfortunately for those who want to see Vince brought to justice: The odds of prosecution tank significantly in the presence of a civil suit, as it's much more difficult to prosecute someone who had to pay a civil judgement as juries look at the defense as if they've already been punished. It's also much easier to win a civil judgement, so many victims choose to sue if the DA tells them the odds of winning the case aren't great. All that said, if Federal prosecutors bring charges, it's nearly always a slam dunk. Their conviction rate is over 99%.

The key being assumption. This is the danger that Dave has become to the business. He's desperate, run out of sources so he positions things as fact to validate that he still has his pulse on the industry.
