3:41 "So is Marie still wearing purple in the last episode?" The real answer to that joke question actually had legitimate relevance to the plot, and Vince having some difficulty responding makes so much sense now. In Marie's final scene, she WASN'T wearing purple, because she was in mourning for Hank. Vince has explained this in interviews since then.

No TV character ever went out like Walter White. It just felt right for him to die at the end of the series not in a hail of gunfire but from cancer in a meth lad with a slight smile and tear on his face. He was a dead man from episode 1 with his cancer diagnosis and it finally got him but he achieved everything he set out to do. What a ride.

Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and Mad Men are three tv shows from one network I know I watched both faithfully as they aired and binged later like an addict. They should do an interview with the AMC execs responsible for buying and producing shows like these. I need to know what they saw

Walter was lost after he watched Jane die. He essentially murdered the lover of his partner. It sent Jesse to the abyss for a season and he was never truly repaired. Jesse was a flawed person but Walter took his flaws and turned them into scars that will never heal. There's something about the way Walter destroyed even the smallest bit of humanity left in almost every character. In the end Skylar and Jesse is the only person who shows him a shred of sympathy. Only after Walter admits it was all about him does she lets him see the baby one last time. And the last moment Jesse and Walter spend together Jesse's eye's fill with sadness because he knows despite the struggles Walter was always in his corner. Even at the end he tackled him to save him from bullets.
