I did just that. Bought the 3-vin unit when it was on "sale". Then bought the 10-vin upgrade later. Now I have 5 VIN's left..

@@dashtyATG Hi Dashty. Depends on your needs. If you only plan to service 1-3 vehicles, I would buy te 3-VIN unit. If you need more, the 10-VIN unit would be better.

I wonder what benefits that genuine VCDS cable presents over the aftermarket one. I know this sounds not formal but the answer will be important for me to make a decision.

I've had my Vag Com Hex for a few years now and have scanned and worked on lots of Vws as a bit of a side business when work is slow. I'm not sure how this applies to me but i really don't want to lose my ability to adapt various things and perform basic settings I am not really interested on purchasing the ability to scan more vins either, could you help me understand. i have had my Vag Com for over 5 years

This info only applies to the "HEX-V2" and "HEX-NET" devices as shown about 15 seconds into the video.

Hi, 3 vin limited cable can do anything with 1 of the register vin? mean can do anything with only 3 cars or its still a restricted version even 3 cars? please can you let me know. thanks

3 VIN limit means you can do everything you like with three cars. But if you want to work with more cars you need to upgrade to add more VINs.

Hy I'm working independently here in north iraq. If i buy this cable would i be able to use it and register it over here please?

@@dashtyATG Most VW family of vehicles use the same diagnostic standards regardless of what market the car is being sold in. As a result, we have customers around the globe using our kits. If you end up moving the Japan, Brazil or Zambia, VCDS will work withe VW/Audi/Seat and Skoda vehicles there. Regards.
