Hey Andrei thanks for the to make this video. My problem with this kind of “cheap” monitors are the reflections outdoor. Mirroring so it’s taff to see. This has to as I can see so i wished the sun hood would be more like a box top preventing the mirroring. Keep going my friend ✌️👏👏👏

This looks interesting, probably i'll finally buy a field monitor. It's not essential for my work so i couldn't spend too much on it and the other budget monitors never convicend me. This one looks really solid and the monitor looks really good.

Hey man, how do you get all the icons from the camera onto the monitor like at 1:30 - all the camera settings etc. ATM all I added are the built in widgets but I think I'd prefer if it just copied my camera screen like at yours!

But you can't see the image at 100% of the screen, do you?

Thanks for a review. I have a question, is there a possibility to record video directly on SD card inserted to the monitor (when you put the card to the monitor, camera recognizes it as external recorder)?

Great video! Does it support 4K60? I'm curious about it since the XH2S doesn't let you output 1080p60 while filming in 4K60..

The monitor works with an NP-F battery. You can also use a power bank to charge the battery thru the usb type c port.

How to set the frame rate on the DC550?

What's the dynamic range like? I have the atomos shinobi but it always looks blown out in the highlights even if the footage is fine

It is. If you are asking if the monitor can be powered thru the USB-C port without having a battery, the answer is yes.

you have no control over the camera, you are able to pinch zoom and punch into the area to make sure you in focus .

@@leocath yes that works, but 1. The camera screen now turns on, and 2. The info menu and everything else is not showing on the monitor, so idk if it's a good solution. Thank you though!

On my camera (A7 IV) the entire monitor is not supported by the Viltrox monitor and I have a black border on the sides. Does anyone know how I can change this?

Yeah on Sony cameras if you leave the “HDMI Info” on, you’ll see what you see on your monitor but a scaled portion. Once you turn this option off, you’ll get a clean feed on the entire screen, but you won’t see your settings anymore, only on the camera screen.

Is it a regular DC 550 or DC 550 pro? On the website, it says that only the pro version has a touchscreen.

This is a standard DC-550 model. According to the information on Amazon, it mentions that this particular unit also features touch functionality. Please note that this unit is a review sample. I have reached out to Viltrox via email to seek clarification.

Seems like Viltrox sent Pro versions labeled as non-pro (DC 550 for some and DC 550 lite for others) to reviewers. Because they clearly stated on their website that only the pro has touchscreen and 3 histograms

@ibro_47 I ordered a regular version from Aliexpress and it has a touchscreen. Before ordering the seller also was saying that a regular version doesn't have a touchscreen. Honestly, I don't know whether the website has incorrect info or not
