This walking tour of the Villa San Michele was filmed on Saturday June 8th, 2019 starting at the Piazza Vittoria. You will see inside the villa including the Dining Room, Kitchen, Bedroom Study and the Venetian Salon. After that, stroll through the pergola and around the garden which is considered to be one of the most beautiful parks in all of Italy. Let's go for a walk!

Just finished watching the video, truly enjoyed walking along this most beautiful piece of heaven, I am amazed at how well the villa is maintained, I just didn't want the video to end , it's an enchanting place ,ProWalks , you did it again.. Ciao my friend, I still haven't seen the walk videos of the pyramids and the khan-e-khlaeil market, this summer has been super busy, will watch them today as I love Egypt ever since I was a little kid...

Indeed it does. My book had no illustrations-this is a dream come true. Such pity Muenthe lost his eyesight and could not enjoy the beauty. Would have loved to have seen how Anacapri actually was he he started building, first saw the place. For me book was like reading good poetry and unforgetable.

@@pennypiper7382 It Is a while since I read the book but I distinctly recall that he wrote that his eyesight was the price he had to pay for Anacapri. Must read book again to verify. You have got me doubting my memory : }

Axel Munthe ha perso la vista soltanto dell, occhio destro... e questo e successo tardi,.. doppo decine di anni che abitava ad AnnaCapri d, estate, perche il resto dell, anno abitava in Piazza di Spania a Roma(dove aveva anche lo studio medico). Il "prezzo da pagare" per poter riuscire a construire questa villa, e stata la sua cariera nell,arte della medicina . Aveva fatto neuropsychiatria nella migliore facolta di Parigi ed era stato uno studente brilliante, destinato alla ricerca medica.... invece lui rinuncio alla cariera,... si dedico al suo sogno di construire San Michelle.. e proffesso tratando "l,isteria", che era la mallatia "alla moda" per donne "altolocate". Con i loro soldi compro un, intera montagna, per salvare gli ucelli migratori, che si riposavano su questa montagna e venivano presi con retti messe apposta per catturarli. Cosi era felice, QUESTA MERAVIGLIOSA ANIMA, quando quardava gli ucelli liberi di venire e andarsene sani e salvi ! Axel Munthe e un, anima salvata da San Francesco d, Assisi ! ❤️💙💖.. come lui stesso racconta nel libro!

Beyond incredible. I really recommend using custom speed adjustment to .80x so as to really soak it in. Oh, and get a wall projector and you ARE there.
Thank you for the opportunity to visit this lithe heaven. I am just curious: at minute 30:59 beyond a closed gate there is a display of some fragments; are they part of the ruins (maps?)?

After you came out of the Villa, there is an edit and then you are walking down the path toward the Phoenician Steps. How do you get to them from the villa? thanks! I hadn't watched this one as much as the others, but the views are spectacular.

I think June is best. I would avoid July and August. Mid-September is also good...but in June more things are in bloom.
The commerciality and supertouristy atmosphere must keep AVM turning in revulsion.
