Clive really is like Travis's big brother in interviews. Very cool how he can carry the interviews knowing that Travis is not comfortable with opening up. He is always very informative as well. Clive never takes over, he waits for a silent signal...they already have a 'silent body lanquage' going on, like brothers. Great teamwork guys

Well, not all casted in the show looks like Scandinavians. One of my favorite characters is Bjorn, but he just looks... British. I was disappointed at first, but he plays the role so well.

His natural accent is very different to the character. He puts on a good international accent with a slight Swedish/scandinavian twang for Vikings.

travis is brad pitt wearing latex and special effects make up. The aussie accent is faked although done well, you can really tell right at the beginning of the interview. Hollywood makes their stars play multiple different characters using pseudonym names.

Travis is hard to take your eyes off of....... He's just so mesmerizing on screen.

Clive is just so well spoken; his answers so very well thought out. I could listen to him talk for hours.

I love Ragnar. Especially when he rolls his eyes, and tries talking his wives out of being jealous. He cracks me up. Such a cutie.

Guys stop comparing the two and saying Travis is too shy. Yes he comes off that way but you have to remember both of them grew up in 2 totally different ways. Travis is a country boy, doesn't enjoy the fame, and is naturally very laid back. Let him be.

In between Rollo, Kievan Rus and the famed Varangian Guard in Byzantium, ancient Scandinavians heavily intermixed with large swaths of the European and Near East populations. Us modern Scandinavians really can not claim "ownership" of the Vikings alone. A great many people in the world today are linked to them, even if they have no direct connection left to today's Nordic countries or culture.

Travis went from Farm boy to model to Actor....Clive went through Drama and acting school. Both are great actors and thoughtful, Travis will be more well spoken as time goes by.

Hasn't done as much homework as Travis Fimmel, it would seem. Travis was right about women in those societies. They mostly stayed and defended their homes and farms whilst their husbands raided. While it was an obvious benefit for women to be strong in such a climate, it was very rare that women would go raiding or participate significantly in offensive acts of war. There are exceptions, and they are noteworthy because they are exceptions. Whilst there is argument to be had that they had a 'good justice system' and relatively equal rights for their time, you can by no means say they met anything close to today's standards. By the look on Fimmel's face when Standen overplays the societal achievements of a people he refers to as "vikings", I would guess he knows that to.

They seem like brothers during the interview. Fimmel almost rolls his eyes. I laughed. He seems very down to earth and amiable.

Dude beards and long hair are cool as fuck.

Clive's personality is so attractive.

Nothing like a well informed actor. Great job clive.

And what a smart cookie! Travis Fimmel is clearly just very chill and maybe a little introverted. Nice guys, though.

Travis Fimmel and Clive Standen are AMAZING ACTORS....the whole casts of Vikings in History channel are AMAZING! Love from Indonesia :D

These 2 are very good actors. Standen really looks the part ... even in real life. He's right in everything he says. The Vikings were so much more than simple pirates. They were far more advanced in navigation and boat building than the Europeans.

As a person of Scandinavian blood, my dad was from Belgium and my mother's family was from friesia, I don't think anyone else could have played Ragnar as well as Travis did. He did an excellent job.

I love how in-depth Clive has gone to really understand the role. And it really shows in how he plays the role. He is great. As for Travis I think he's just uncomfortable giving interviews it isn't really his thing but he still tries his best to give good answers. In reality the only things that matters is how well he performs on screen.

you'd say that from the audiences point of view... but being great in life is much more valuable than being great on camera... but I get it as audience we get a little fooled also with movie production and effects and it's all scripted mostly, this is why actors seem more in their movies than in real life, and they have to deal with this themselves the most I guess

Again, one of the best recreations of the past ever done by anyone. It is just off the charts. Everything about it. Huge fan. Enough of the known history recorded from that time to nail most of it down perfectly for our time. And it has been nailed perfectly.

clive is surprisingly eloquent ! travis is kind of like his ragnar character, more taciturn

This series is phenomenal and I'm addicted :D it takes a lot for me to love a series THIS much...lol CAN'T WAIT!!!

Clive expresses his opinions a lot more clearly and in a articulate way where people would stop and pay attention , and having someone like him around , you would probably feel comfortable leading interviews and maybe feel insecure around to because it can be intimidating teamed up with someone as articulate as him knowing you're not like that, would make you want to hold back. I'm sure if there was 3 or more or just himself , he would of felt more comfortable. He isn't an articulate guy but that isn't all that defines intelligence. This is in 2013 though.. he is more open now

Two gorgeous guys and exciting actors. My son told me about this series - and I'm hooked - wish it would go on for a couple of more seasons!

Clive's level of appeal went up tenfold for wearing a sea shepherd shirt.

In all the interviews I saw, Travis didn't talk much. But there's no need to talk about his work... he just show how envolved he is when he is acting! They all are so fuckin awesome actors

I wasn't really that interested in watching a series about the Vikings - then I started watching and wow. So well put together locations, scripts, cast. Love Travis & Clive both so different but delivered big time - and the women fierce.

Awesome show and so glad its getting a new season.

Clive so intelligent .and Travis is so dreamy.both are dreamy. Travis is such a wonderful hero. Best show ever. Our DNA goes back to them. Our family's qualities remain the same. We are Viking Normans. Great show.

Travis talks just enough and then looks at Clive to elaborate. Travis is a worker not a talker...and he is damn good at what he does so he doesn't need an explanation. Clive gives him the limelight everytime the interviewer asks a question.

Clive has a great attitude towards his work. It is nice to see someone take it seriously.

contrasting characters on screen and off screen. fantastic casting for vikings. definitely have a huge crush on travis and clive standen is adorable the way he talks so sincerely and he definitely does not shy away from the limelight. travis is the opposite with a laidback and rugged air around him.

Funny how everybody is telling how wonderful and articulate Clive is and that they could listen to him for hours and pay attention to his wise words whereas I'm sitting here, just watching Travis who's telling me much more without saying a word 😂 Sorry can't listen to Mr Standen if Travis is next to him

From everything I've seen Travis is actually more insightful and thoughtful about things, than the rest of the cast. He's just much quieter and reserved. Doesn't want to say the wrong thing, I think. Definitely more knowledgeable when it comes to history.
