honestly for me the most epic scene i ever saw in any series. I thought after ragnars death the series was done but the last season was just incredible probs to everyone involved makin that series 4real

They wanted us to believe he couldn't die because that is part of his legend.

@@ivo3598 no it's different from history. Most of what we know about the vikings is from the people they raided, in their writings and drawings. They raided monasteries, so they were drawn as devils with horns. But from everything we know, their helmets didn't really have horns. The vikings had an oral history, which is portrayed when Gunnhilde told the saga of Bjorn Ironside. Eventually those were written down, but the sagas are considered myth or legend. They called him Ironside because they say he can't be killed. The show is a mix of actual events (not always with the correct people, place, or time) and material from the sagas of Ragnar sons.

@@ivo3598 Not exactly, a lot of the legend comes from the icelandic sagas which are like a mix of history with actual battles that can be traced, and fantastical elements that can´t be proven. But yeah part of his legend is that he couldn´t die/be wounded if I remember correctly.

For a moment I really thought he wasn't gonna die and was gonna fight with 3 arrows in the chest.

Hvitserk reciting parts of Ragnar's death speath for Bjorn was perfect. The one thing this show has done perfectly is handling the deaths of their characters. Ragnar, Lagertha and Bjorn all had perfect death/funeral episodes.

Bjorn’s death: Massive stab wound from a sword, survives for two or three days, gets three arrows to the chest, weaponizes his state to unite his people, lasts long enough to order the final attack on the Rus that sends them packing in defeat. Harald: Gets lost in a forest, gets killed by a beast we just met. Ivar: Gets prison shanked by the most pathetic dude that could’ve killed him, who didn’t even have the nerve to outright kill him immediately. Check every single other time he could’ve died, it would be by a better opponent. Are you serious?

I was so pissed that i couldnt cry, because I honestly dont know why they screwed Bjorn that much in Season 6. Also I thought that the music could have been better for him. Like the piece when he became King or when Ragnar faked his death. I saw so many edits where I liked Bjorns death more because the music was way more epic

I think he could have got better but he knew he had no time so he suited up and went out leading all of Norway agains the Rus like the legend he is!!May his reunion with Ragnar,Lagertha and Gyda be full of joy!!!Hail Bjorn Ironside a true legend!!!

He knew that he wasn't gonna make it and he wanted to go out Iike a viking and lead his people and he did

Bjorn Ironside went out like a true Viking hero he became a legend who is remembered throughout all time as of today and as of 2022 is still remembered for making a heroic last stand

I thought it was a statue at first, until the last scene with the wide shot of Bjorn's body posed atop a horse. Felt really weird about it but we've never saw a Viking burial like this. It really shows how much the Vikings admire and respect Bjorn; even in his last moments Bjorn clung to life and made Ivar's army retreat in fear of him. True legend, Ragnar is proud.

Only when Björn knew that he had led his people to victory once again, only then did Björn allow himself to finally succumb to his wounds. Once Björn knew his people would be victorious then that is when he allowed himself to let go.

Just finished the series. I won't say anything more that Vikings is one of the greatest shows ever made! The casting, the music, the sceneries, acting are just breathtaking. Sending lots of love and courage from Greece! Especially now that you started watching the finale! Happy new year!! May 21 is far better than 20!

That last scene with Bjorn was so powerful and got hyped af

I feel like this is going to be a great episode in the overall scheme of things, it was just crazy, crazy, crazy that it's the first episode out of the gate after nearly a year off. Season 1 Episode one Lola "I'm not very optimistic about that kids future" it has been a great journey.

If it's any consolation, I'm pretty sure in real life Bjorn Ironside lived long enough to become king of most of Sweden....

It confused me a bit because I thought Ivar and the Rus would fight against Björn and Alfred. I thought that Björns fate would last over all 10 episodes.

The final 15 min of this episode might be the best moment of the entire series.

The music in this was fucking awesome, god the way he raises his sword and the music gets progressively louder.... man this scene was mental

I cried so much this Episode, especially near the end. I'm personally not a fan of Ivar since S5, been a major Björn, and Ubbe fan. But seeing this made my heart break

I loved this season! Have fun enjoying the last of this show! This show really knows how to play with your emotions. Can't wait until you see the last ep.
