VIKING SUSPENSION settings on S550,S197 and TRACK TIPS

In this video I go over front coil over settings and rear setting.
There is a lot of stuff about setting and weight transfer that I could make a hole video over. LMK

Hey man. Been playing around alot with my vikings. They are crusader race spec. Rears only with bmr drag springs. I only do street rolls.. , 850whp 10sp mustang. Whipple. ive been having trouble with my 305 45 17 et steet Rs balling up because of wheel spin... my roads are mostly all asphalt . So far ive found 2c 9r is best.. on these irs cars, whats rebound generally do? Does a bad unprepped road surface normally want more or less rebound? But ya, rolls only on the street.. any recommendations? Going up on rebound i found helped alot So on 2c 9r. But still having issues with the mickeys balling up. Maybe more C will help keep them planted more and wont haze so bad? The spin isnt terrible. Car still mooves, but it always seems to be hazing them then they start to ball up.

With that HP range you might want to look at a 315/50/17 street R. If not 2-4C is good for street and about 12-14R. If the tire is wadding up on you sound like you don’t have enough air in the tire. You got it so low that the tire is bulking on you. Hope this helps.

@NickelWhiteS550 thanks for the reply! ill give it a try turning the rebound up some more. I've been considering 315 50 17s. I usually run them about 16-17 psi. Seemed to hook "better".. but will try adding some air. And making some rebound adjustments. See what happens. Thanks.

Great video on the Mustang suspension at the track. I have a 2014 s197.I had tractions issues on the first track day. The engine is stock with an Ortiz tune. Since the last track day, I have the BMR UCA/LCA and relocation brackets set with the UCA in the top hole and the LCA in the 1st hole of the RCB. The 6r80 has a Circle D 245 pro 36-3800 stall vert. I installed the QA1 double adjustable shocks set at 6 compression and 10 rebound. I'm running 275X50R15 Nitto NT555RIIs on the back. I haven't been back to the track with this current setup and I was hoping this would cure my traction issues. Would this setup be ideal for the car or should I make changes. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Need a radial on that car. A 315/50/17 is best or a 305/45/17 street R. Since your on a bias you want the front loose 17C 3R. Rear on 6C9R. The rear is just a starting point setting. For example I max out my rear shock 20C20R On a radial because that is as stiff as I can get it and that what you want if the track will hold it.

Prior to this I got a nice controlled spin off line. So I upgraded shocks thinking the clutch is hitting the tires harder more than stock shocks could handle. Unfortunately, I didn't get must test on new shocks and left the season with a setting of 2c8r. I get wheelhop still, though not violent. No idea where to go from here. I launch at 4500 rpm (remember standard transmission) and I don't ride the clutch. I drop the clutch for instant hit.

+Focus Mode ok, first off I have been down this same road. Don’t just dump the clutch it will not work out for you. Best to do a fast slip which requires lots of practice. You started getting wheel hop after the clutch install due to the new clutch doing its job. Your factory clutch even thought you dump it slipped for you. The new clutch won’t do that.
