You know why they put Trading Places in the background? The band is Italian and, in Italy, one of the main channels (Italia 1) shows Trading Places every Christmas...literally. Last Christmas was the 23rd time that channel showed Trading Places at the same time on Christmas. So, a stereotypical Italian Christmas Is one with Lasagna, family, catholic prayers, boring presents (or if lucky money) and Trading Places on the TV

Absolutely agree. Norwegian Reggaeton (turn on the captions to subtitle the subtitles unless you speak/read Spanish and/or Italian!), and then Uranus.
He's drawing the rune for Odin, the Othala, it looks like a diamond with an inverted v stuck to the bottom. It is supposed to fill you with hope. It's also the symbol on the banners behind the choir and the word IKEA is written underneath it. Also, if you didn't notice it, the band is wearing IKEA t-shirts.

Are you sure ? Looks more like the first two sides of a triangle to me... so could be the Valknut = Knot of the Slain Warrior ~ Odin's Knot - which is three interlocked triangles (except here upside down ??)
Fun fact: when they sing "falegn-amen" is a composition of the word "falegname" (carpenter in italian) and "amen", so if you don't speak Italian you could have missed it, awesome reaction by the way😂❤️🤟

That exact same movie (Trading places - Una poltrona per due) is broadcasted on Italian channel "Italia 1" every year 24th december at 9PM , it's been like this since 1997 (they just skipped 2005's Christmas' Eve)
if you like the Odin in this, I HIGHLY recommend checking out his other band 'Gloryhammer'. Or his other other band 'Alestorm'. Both really solid metal bands that don't take themselves at all seriously and are infinitely better for it.
Nanowar of steel are both great and hilarious, I agree with Norwegian Reggeaton below but I would also suggest some of their older songs "Barbie MILF princess of the twilight" and "the quest for carefour" among others if you want to do something a bit different than the other reactors that stumbles across Nanowar. ps. their new name is the pop band formerly known as Nanowar (I think they are seeing how far they can push it befor they get kicked from Napalm records).
For your reference. He drew a Rune Symbol on the Mirror.

As a huge italian fan of Nanowar of Steel since their origin, finally the truest reaction to this song, from a Viking! The origin of the name is correct, in the beginning they were just Nanowar, then they added of Steel. Only after Rhapsody became of Fire (some say it's the opposite but we never believed that) If my memory is right, the idea of Santa Claus being viking is historically correct, because at viking times santa was actually Odin going hunting demons in winter and children would leave food for his horse. In other countries of the North like Germany and Finland he was some kind of god of the woods dressed in green who would bring joy and prosperity to the lands. At Roman times he was Saturn, god of agriculture. Catholics put the birth of Jesus in december to cancel this pagan holiday on the calendar (Jesus was born in march according to historians). Then Coca Cola changed his dress from green to red for marketing purpose. Fun fact: you are the first youtuber noticing Trading places in the background of the dining room, it's a common movie broadcast on christmas eve here in italy, every year since the release Fun fact 2: the Yggdrasill prey is Jewish (as the language) but tuned accordingly for Odin. The lyrics are from the bass player who knows jewish and other 14 languages, and he is an actual astrophysicist. Buddy you have the most infectious laugh ever, my belly hurts, keep up the good work

See... these are the comments I like :). Historic information is always welcome. I didn't know about Roman times. That was new to me! I did think that Jesus' birth was actually in June or July by the way... I love myself a good movie and I have always watched a LOT. This one of those movies I have always liked. No way around it ;) I did look up what the prayer meant but forgot to put in in whilst editing :P. I watched the interview TankTheTech did with the band and I learned about the sheer brain power in the band. Amazing right :). Keep that belly hurting...you'll get a good workout ;)

@@VikingReacts There's a lot of historical evidence that suggests that the mythical Jesus character is actually heavily based on Julius Caesar, you can find a lot of information on it on youtube and the similarities of Caesar along with what has been said about Jesus is an eye opener to say the least! Another interesting fact, Caesar was born in July, in fact the month is named after him but what's even more interesting is that apparently they also died on the same day, Jesus on the 15th of Nissan, Caesar on the Ides of March, both correspond to the 15th of March. That aside you’ll be shocked at how many other similarities there are...

Going thru the catalogue is, I think, a play on the Litany of Saints from Catholic mass. They say the Saint’s name, then Pray for Us (Ora pro nobis in Latin). So they Slattum, etc. then Pray for Us. I’m pretty sure I’m correct with that.
Trading Places in Italy is THE Christman movie for at least twenty years :D Nice reaction
Another detail you might have missed, though someone surely mentioned it, is that one of the guitar players (the one who did the solo) was wearing a Pippi Longstocking wig. But you did catch the thing with the clouds; I've been waiting for someone to notice that!
So after bawling my eyes out at poet and the pendulum, I decided I’d watch some nanowar to make me chuckle. Glad you came up on my feed, subscribed 😊🤘🤘

Oh man this was so fun to watch. Also love the glory hammer odin, that killer line he sings is just amazing. And those brutal drums in the end, goddamn!
The movie in the backgroud is "Trading Places" aka in italian "Una poltrona per due". It's a movie that for some unknown and strange reasons is a Xmas cult in Italy. This film has been on the air for more than 25 years, EVERY YEAR ON XMAS! In Italy we wait this movie and for us italians IT'S NOT Christmas without this movie! :)
Fun- fact: the movie in the background is a sort of "tradition" for an italian tv channel that play "una poltrona per due" (italian title) every year on christmas
