You know why they put Trading Places in the background? The band is Italian and, in Italy, one of the main channels (Italia 1) shows Trading Places every Christmas...literally. Last Christmas was the 23rd time that channel showed Trading Places at the same time on Christmas. So, a stereotypical Italian Christmas Is one with Lasagna, family, catholic prayers, boring presents (or if lucky money) and Trading Places on the TV

As a huge italian fan of Nanowar of Steel since their origin, finally the truest reaction to this song, from a Viking! The origin of the name is correct, in the beginning they were just Nanowar, then they added of Steel. Only after Rhapsody became of Fire (some say it's the opposite but we never believed that) If my memory is right, the idea of Santa Claus being viking is historically correct, because at viking times santa was actually Odin going hunting demons in winter and children would leave food for his horse. In other countries of the North like Germany and Finland he was some kind of god of the woods dressed in green who would bring joy and prosperity to the lands. At Roman times he was Saturn, god of agriculture. Catholics put the birth of Jesus in december to cancel this pagan holiday on the calendar (Jesus was born in march according to historians). Then Coca Cola changed his dress from green to red for marketing purpose. Fun fact: you are the first youtuber noticing Trading places in the background of the dining room, it's a common movie broadcast on christmas eve here in italy, every year since the release Fun fact 2: the Yggdrasill prey is Jewish (as the language) but tuned accordingly for Odin. The lyrics are from the bass player who knows jewish and other 14 languages, and he is an actual astrophysicist. Buddy you have the most infectious laugh ever, my belly hurts, keep up the good work

See... these are the comments I like :). Historic information is always welcome. I didn't know about Roman times. That was new to me! I did think that Jesus' birth was actually in June or July by the way... I love myself a good movie and I have always watched a LOT. This one of those movies I have always liked. No way around it ;) I did look up what the prayer meant but forgot to put in in whilst editing :P. I watched the interview TankTheTech did with the band and I learned about the sheer brain power in the band. Amazing right :). Keep that belly hurting...you'll get a good workout ;)

@@VikingReacts There's a lot of historical evidence that suggests that the mythical Jesus character is actually heavily based on Julius Caesar, you can find a lot of information on it on youtube and the similarities of Caesar along with what has been said about Jesus is an eye opener to say the least! Another interesting fact, Caesar was born in July, in fact the month is named after him but what's even more interesting is that apparently they also died on the same day, Jesus on the 15th of Nissan, Caesar on the Ides of March, both correspond to the 15th of March. That aside you’ll be shocked at how many other similarities there are...

At the end, Falegn-amen is a play on words. Falegname Is the Italian word for carpenter. :) These guys are from my home city of Rome, Italy. Not only funny, but great musicians as well! You'd love their "Norwegian reggaeton" 🤣 But my favorite is "and then I noticed she was a gargoyle" 🤣

There is also a sort of inside joke for italian people. That's a "typical" christmas eve's dinner, and, as far as i remember (and i'm 33) there is ALWAYS that movie "una poltrona per due" (trading places, original movie name) that night. If you check the tv, there is a scene of that movie xD NOTHING in this video is made randomly, everything has a sense. They're over 9000 IQ.
