They only really matter in close matches but those are common in higher ranks

I have tons of ‘good’ meta pokemon below 1500cp, but in my experience some random pokemon with bad IV’s sometimes outperform all those meta teams lol. I think it’s more a matter of matchup and skill than it is IV’s

Just found this channel, liking the vibes and nice premise of this video! I always wondered how much IV's really matter and these limited cup metas I'm always like bah if only my Vig or Charja won cmp against opposing mirror mons I would've won lol gl on the climb and hope to see more vids like this 😛

Yeah, it’s hard to get decent ivs off the incense, so my whole legend climb has been and will continue to be full of “terrible” PvP IVs. I think that sometimes it pays to have “bad” IVs for the CMP especially!

Yes IV’s CAN matter, But sometimes having higher atk can also be win or lose depending on mirror matches or not

Yes , they do matter a lot actually... Especially in master league... better iv spread more the pokemon can do...iv could be the thing that saved u from a loss by either winning cmp or being able too tank one more move...did u not see how much damage your vig takes compared too say a rank1?

True! But also my vig wins lots of cmps and deals a lot of damage. Maybe the better question is Are “pvp” IVs always best? Meaning low attack high bulk (obv this doesnt apply to master league)

In master everyone has the same stuff and it’s all maxed out. So yes, 1 point can be the difference between victory and loss. GL is different since you’re just trying to fit under the 1500 barrier and there are multiple Pokemon in play.

Another interesting option would be to do a teambuilding segment inside/at the start of each video. That would give some more insight into the teambuilding side of things too!

I’d argue that in GBL/blind 3v3 that RPS and player skill will decide the VAST majority of matches and IVs will rarely decide the outcome of a match and when they do, sometimes it will be the “worse” ivs that get the win because of CMP/breakpoints!
