That’s scary. I now live in the desert and you would think doctors in the deserts would automatically know what to do to check for it.

@@lifeis2short111 I was misdiagnosed, ended up having valley fever. 3 months of misdiagnoses, till I called….i was at the point where I struggled to walk, I’m weak, I lost weight, I became fragile like a thin glass. I’ve been on medication for my 5th month, and still feel weak. My titer lever was at 1:64, and a month ago I was at 1:34, so I still have to medicate.

I've had valley fever for 10 years and it has destroyed my quality of life . Disseminated cocci attacked my skin and my spine requiring a spinal fusion . California prison system even denied my complaint saying it was an environmental hazard . Yet there was no warning in 2003-2004 and I contracted it at Lancaster state prison while doing time for a possession of a firearm . After being hospitalized for 9 months and then struggling with the aftercare and fluconazole that is affecting my liver , it's another example of cruel and u dual punishment . I've been denied SSD also ! I'm basically on my own !
