Although I can never become a Sikh I am going to learn more and since I already follow their tenets as much as possible, I just want to become better at it.

Punjabi and Sikhs are not the same. A sikh need not be a punjabi he can be Bengali, Gujrati Tamilian Kashmiri Sindhi, an American, Austrialian, ,Mexican, and so on. Where as A Punjabi can be a Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Christian buddhist, Jaini and so on. Please dont mix up a PUnjabi and Sikh to gether. There by you are weakening both the Sikhs and the Punjabis.

I appreciate her teaching he class about our religion but I just didn’t agree with a couple of things that were said. First of all, we are never allowed to call SGGS ji, a holy book. It’s not a lifeless book but rather we consider it our living Guru. Please refer to as our holy scriptures. Also, at the end, she said Sikhs celebrate Diwali with Hindus, it’s partly true cuz that’s actually called “Bandi Chor Diwas”- our 6th Guru Sri Hargobind Sahib ji freed 52 kings from the captivity from Gawallier’s fort.

Sin is pre-existing in all. Sin pre-dates The Bible. The Bible explains origins of sin. The Bible provides remedy for sin through Jesus Christ. The Bible is best selling book in the world for this reason. Sin is the opium. In The Bible we know Who made the world, who marred it, who ransacked it, and Who restored it. Media, Police, Defense, Judiciary, Penitentiary, Security, Contracts confirm sin exists. God created universe, natural laws, made man in His image, gave talents, instructed man to explore and multiply. We are made good with good purpose. We are good. Then sin entered and we fallen. Disease, despair, death entered. Sin plays spoilsport. Unloose the Soul from the tight knot of sin. Soul outlasts death. Religion says "Do". Jesus Christ says "Done". Sinners cannot save themselves from sin. Jesus Christ, the Holy God, intervened to save us from sin. Jesus Christ came from heaven (The First Christmas), died willingly for our sins on The Cross (The First Good Friday), and resurrected death (The Resurrection Day, also linked to Easter). Jesus Christ lived a Holy life, while on earth. Unable to find any motive for Jesus Christ to die willingly on Cross and resurrect - except His love to save us from pre-existing sin. Jesus Christ suffered, understands our pain. He raised victorious, we can too. Salvation from sin is free gift of God in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not earned through works or deeds or pilgrimages or rituals or ceremonies or traditions or cultures or public displays or making sacrifices. Believe, repent of sins and accept Jesus Christ, and be saved. Simple. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. Could not find origins of life, natural laws, sin, morals, purpose, meaning, music, creativity anywhere else. Never found a sentence that is comforting on a death-bed, anywhere else. (My journal, after testing all 'isms', after swallowing pride and egos.)

Sikhism is not even a religion. Its really misunderstood cause its not educated well enough. Guru Nanak ji never created a religion nor did he preach about "A" religion. His message was clear and simple.. walk a spiritual path which is comprised of meditation, honest work, and share your earnings with the needy. Simple as simple can be stop categorizing this concept in closed box like religion. Saints are not produced in religions but by spirituality. Jesus, Guru Nanak, and etc were not men placed in closed boxes of religion they were beyond and each soul is beyond too.. Meditate on the Naam - name of God. Could be any: God, Allah, Waheguru, Ram, and etc. This is the Sikh way: Meditate, work honestly, and share your earnings with the need.. clothe them, feed, them, and love them and all else too.

If you listen to what she said properly , she said wearing it around their neck that means its a necklace and not a real sword. As far as religion is consisderd to keep at home then you are wrong about it. lets take you as an example you cannot be a christian for 16 hours of day and nothing for the rest 8

People should at least know about fellow religons. These are public schools that is why religon is being taught to them . I see abolutely nothing wrong with kids learning about other religons

Sad truth is: If Sikhs could truly read and understand guru Nanaks Quotes from Granth Sahib; they would never continue being a Sikh. It's utter non-sense! It contradicts itself. The bible is the truth. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. Worship the Lord Jesus, He is the only salvation amen

Your reply shows the fruit of your belief. I never used one offensive word but you did in your reply. However, why don't you even read the granth in English and truly understand it? You are being lied to. You don't need a turban or beard to show God you are worthy. You follow your guru to get wisdom? Is what you say a demonstration of your wisdom or folly? Besides, it's not ekonkar. It's Ik (one) aum (136.1hertz) kar (lord). One lord named aum. This is not one God. You are worshipping a god named aum. This is of the devil. Jesus Christ is the way to The true God of creation not your so called gurus

Dalasonic Singh our guru teached us to respect every religion because there is only one god,but from Ur comments it shows the upbringing of you and you constantly insult the other religion ,if you don't respect it than don't spread hate towards everyone.
