Viewer question: Megamorphinx corner parity?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Well, it's not exactly a parity, and it's not coming from the corners at all, but rather the centers. Here I show you what I mean!

8:00 It says Ui but you did RI

Crazybadcuber did a cool tutorial around placing the corners before doing the last center. That way you don't have to break or redo anything you've already done in order to sort out the "parity" ... false equivocation :-)

Thanks for this new tutorial about one of my favourite twisty puzzles. From 0:44 to 0:48, I saw a Rex Rhombic Dodecahedron... video editing mistake ? Another detail at 8:00 : at the end of the algorithm you do "Ri ddi" and not "Ui ddi" as (wrongly) indicated.

Thanks for the heads up about the algorithm! I actually did mean to show the rex rhombic dodecahedron to show that I walked into the same mistake with the two centers being off :)

I just use a center swap commutator. Same as if I'm solving the last two centers on any big cube. Swap two equivalent pieces, fix anything that got messed up, and you're good to go.

Oh and the centers swapping can be done easily with the same corner swap algorithm shown earlier. Just do it one layer deeper. I use that on any 4x4 supercube. I can't ever remember the 3-cycle algorithm usually shown here.

This might be dumb but would you be willing to do a walk through solve for a larger super cube?

SuperAntoniovivaldi I dont care what size, I was thinking about how to deal with placing pieces in certain spots (yes I do know about commutators) I just don't have a large supercube and wanted to see how it was done! Thanks for responding by the way!

For the situation you find yourself in at 19:43, wouldn't it be easier to just use a conjugate and commutator to 3-cycle the incorrect center pieces?

    all you need is to do Rw2 F2 U2 Rw2 R2 U2 F2 R2 and solve like a 3x3 super cube
